Bill Walker is the next..Gerald Wallace? And Bill Walker not a fan of HWSNBN
Watching some of these Bill Walker highlights got me thinking...could we have another Gerald Wallace on our hands?
The same man who's name is 'Crash' (wouldn't this have been a great nick name for Walker??) plays with similar reckless abandon and showcased similar reckless abandon when he was a youngster. However, after years of sitting on the bench on a competitive Sac Kings squad, he went over the Charlotte and started blossoming as a athletic force.

The same COULD be said for Walker. I know, I know, you could probably just as easily do this for another player, but hear me out. You have 2 players, here are their college stats:

Guess which one's which. Aside from the block/Stl averages, and PPG, all the other stats are very similar. First stat was Gerald Wallace's one freshman year in Alabama. Second stats were Bill Walker's freshman year (7 games) and sophmore year, after knee surgery. Here's a scouting report, guess who it is:
An elite athlete on any level, (blank) has the potential to be a big time NBA small forward. His power and explosion make him unstoppable around the basket. His skills with the ball are steadily improving, and he has the tools to be a multiposition defensive stopper. His play without the ball is the area of his game that needs the most work.
That is Bill Walker's scouting report. Sounds a lot like Gerald Wallace no? Again, take all this with a huge bag of salt, Walker is no where near Gerald Wallace's level (an all-star and the worst dunk contestant of all time), but I just wanted to make the comparison w/o just saying, "HEY, THAT BILL WALKER LOOKS LIKE GERALD WALLACE!!!"

Interesting..good comparison.
Aside from what some may thing…Gerald Wallace is a hell of a ball-player.
Only thing I worry on with Walker…should he go towards more playing time…will that injury history creep up on him?
Hope not..but something to consider

Gerald Wallace also had
3 knee surgeries is good for no one. I think 2 in his left, one in his right (someone can validate me on this, I went with wiki and quick google search). With his crazy play, it seems like he just has a habit of going for broke and thinking about his body later. I love the effort, worry about the body.
start a Rec'volution, Seth!!

Agreed. I like the comparison too
Of course Wallace has accomplished more, and Sacramento knew he was gonna be very good. Their team was pretty stacked at the time, so I think they were sort of forced to let him go. Seems like Walker has that potential to break out. Time will tell. I just hope it happens in an orange and blue uniform…

Agreed
Cheap young talent is what we’ll need next season.
Cheap
And I think this is the hidden reason for Nate’s departure…getting some players who can play next year w/ a minimum contract in 2010 and 2011. Donnie, you SOB. I just hope Walker keeps it up….part of me is afraid that since he hasn’t played much, the scouting reports on him might be a bit raw.
like, they shit nine times before noon; or they always shit at 11:51 am?
"Oooohhh, cat in the wall, eh? Now you're talkin' my language."
Do you guys think Bill Walker will be our starting point guard next year?
or at least some free agents backup, problem is = there arn’t many good free agent point guards this off season. So i the role is for the taking if keeps up his play.
I hope not....
Walker’s not a PG, he’s a SG/SF….and not one of those “combo” dudes who could be one either.
As for the SG spot, yea…its there for the taking. Lets see if he keeps this up.

Why?
The Knicks get F/A J.Johnson next year to start at the two.
So B.Walker will be our second unit two guard off the bench.
T.Douglas/PG J.Johnson/SG W.Chandler/SF
Three starters whom play defense along having B.Walker come in at the two whom also plays defense.
T.McGrady can come in an dplay the three behind W.Chandler.
This is a good start of five guys of talent that also can play defense next year.
Now we need to worry about the 4 & 5 spot.
Sign & Trdae deal with Phoenix to get A.Stoudemire makes sense for both teams.
Sign D.Lee trade him with E.Curry for A.Stoudemire.
Now we are sevendeep with the 4 spot done.
A.Stoudemire/PF & D.Gallinari/Back up PF
Last but a concern and reality.
We need to get two picks in the top fifteen of th edraft to get our centers.
C.Aldrich/Kansas & D.Pittman/Texas
There it is ten deep towards Knicks success in 2010.
