Tracy McGrady is a straight-shooter.
Presented without editorial comment, other than that you shouldn't ask Tracy McGrady if that dress makes you look fat. From Berman:
Tracy McGrady said he would love to sign next season with Orlando, where he hails from, and ripped the former Magic president who traded him.
"Of course because it's home, that's home," McGrady said yesterday before the Knicks' 118-90 loss to the Blazers at Rose Garden. "I hated it that I left. I hated I left because I established myself there and made a name for myself. It was a situation where the GM [John Weisbrod] that was there made a huge mistake."
...
"I think it's possible they'll get back to The Finals," McGrady said. "And if you add me to the mix, I like Orlando. We'll see."
Toss T-Mac an underhand lob and he'll swat it out of the park.

So While Portland Was Performing The Alley-Oop Ballet
Thru our vaunted defense, Tracy was:
A) Entertaining pleasant thoughts of hangin’ with his dear long lost OG (Original Goofy) at the Magic Kingdom
B) Reminiscing over the cool sensation of being on top of a cold mountain when eating a York Peppermint Patty
C) Humming “O’ Fortuna” to himself, so as to get the full production value, whilst the Blazers whistled past he and his teammates, en route to the playoffs

he said earlier
that he would love to play ny (assuming they get a big name), but then again, who wouldnt
some of the blogs i've read
are going nuclear over this. i don’t get it? this makes sense to me: sign for the vet min with a loaded NYK team, or sign for the MLE with a capped-out, loaded contender.
My name's Gus Johnson; I get buckets.
I like the guy
He’s a bit loose-lipped and obviously still has a big ego, but I also think he’s kind of intelligent. From what I’ve seen of his play with the Knicks, he obviously still has talent and looks pretty good. And he has talent for other stuff besides scoring, like rebounding and passing. But I don’t think he has any idea how to play when he is not the primary option. He doesn’t look particularly in sync with any Knicks, except for David Lee.
To me the question with him is whether he can adjust his game to take better advantage of his smarts and skills to be a part of a team rather than ‘the man’. I think he likes the idea and I think he’s got a good basketball mind. We’ll see. I think if somehow the Knicks were able to resign him cheaply, it could reap huge benefits depending on who else is here. But I kind of have the feeling he’ll be somewhere else next year.
It’s been kind of fun having him around, though.
right on
good thing for us, though if he resigns here, is that the Knicks he isnt in sync with wont be here either. Mac/LBJ/Gallo/Lee/Camby would be a pretty crazy lineup i think
