The New York Media's Blatant Gimmick Coverage of LeBron James' Free Agency
No, I'm not a Knicks fan but this is just a little something I put together. I have absolutely nothing against the Knicks, their fans or the organization but I felt the need to highlight the New York media's somewhat disgusting coverage leading up to July 1.
If P&T feels I'm just pushing product, I'd understand if they take it down. I just wanted to get a feel from Knicks fans on their thoughts. I understand, browsing through here occasionally, that LeBron James isn't necessarily on everyone's wish list or that they feel the same way about the media.
All feedback is, of course, welcome.

I agree with a lot of what you said,
but Isiah Thomas is the reason we suck. Or at least a big part of the reason. He’s the reason we don’t have a first rounder this year and why Donnie had to trade away some picks to get all that cap space. He also made a bunch of terrible moves (See Eddy Curry) The guy was terrible. So now, 2010 is so important because of that.

I don't want to turn this into a criticism of Knicks management or their FA chances
when the subject was about the New York media (and when my favorite team just won 12 games total).
I wasn’t denying Isiah’s influence. If anything, I was highlighting the fact his influence is still felt to this day and those aftereffects are gonna affect the way FA’s consider the Knicks. Gallinari, Chandler and Douglas are solid young pieces but are they championship roster material or enough to entice a top-notch FA by themselves when everything else is up in the air much less motivate an entire city’s media ring to promise the best player in the world to come? Probably not, and you guys know this much better than I do.
I guess my main point is that the media tends to focus on, if not distort, the positives about New York as an option, ignore the cons and guarantee, in sickening fashion, the unknowable. They’re riling up and exciting a passionate basketball city with no evidence. I’m just asking for them to take a look at themselves in the mirror, dig up some journalistic integrity and pride so they can write objectively. Or if not, at least ease off a little until July 1.
2010 is important for the Knicks. It has the potential to change the direction of the franchise. I’m not denying that. And that’s why it’s so important that it’s handled delicately if not objectively.

I feel sure that most NYers would be quite happy
trading Berman, Isola and comnpany for HWSNBN in a NY minute
