Eddy Curry Picks up '10-'11 Option

Larry Coon is rarely wrong, and Larry Coon hath twat the following:

Looks like Eddy Curry has picked up his option for 2010-11, as expected. Since he's now fer sure under contract, he can be traded.

It remains to be seen how relevant that information is at this point in time. The Knicks will certainly be looking to deal Curry's final year, but whether that takes place soon or during the season is anybody's guess.

Hey-o

You Fool!

The Hood Rat is basically broke. Why would he walk away from the moneuy that he will never see again in the NBA.?

Yeah!

The clown wants a buyout however, still picks up his option. Just trade his sad ass with the resigning of D.Lee in a package deal. If the Stoudemire opts out then just him. If not then sign trade Curry/Lee for Stoudemire.
buy into the first round and get S.Alabi. I can see it now in the headlines: KING SOLOMON GRABS TWENTY REBOUNDS Towards KNICKS championship. I did not say King James either. Let’s hope we can do the trade of Hood Rat /Lee for Stoudemire.

maddness has already started huh

i guess all the options is what makes this next couple of days so interesting. Realistically, the roster could double in one night. incredible.

Madness is a good description.

Already the names are coming out too:
Chris Paul, Monta Ellis, Al Jefferson, Ray Allen, John Salmons, Barbosa, Maggette, Hamilton, Brand, Jonny Flynn, Corey Brewer, Boozer, Beasley, amongst plenty others.

It's only NJ

The weaker they make themselves the less teams NYC has to fight to make the playoffs.

It’s LeBRON, not LeBrAHHHn, Chris Broussard you Rick Brunson rippoff!!

Don't know how anyone can say anything nice about this waste of a player

All he ever did was steal money and stay fat. Horrible work ethic, horrible player. POS. I have absolutely no respect for him.

I needed a team so I wouldn’t turn into one of the eighty million pink hat-wearing Bud Light-drinking mulleted idiots at Fenway.

by Vacafan on Jun 22, 2010 10:54 PM EDT reply actions

nah, I won't ever call him names like that.

Dude is only guilty of being overweight and very fragile.

He hasnt sat and sulked like other players in the NBA, MLB, NFL, or NHL. And Eddys has gone through some serious shit that would be incredibly distracting for any player.

Worst that anyone should say is that he is a tragedy.

And no one should take anything from him desiring a buyout. Everyone wants to play. He aint doing anything another player wouldn’t. It aint his fault that he was offered the contract he signed. None of us would ever say “No, that is too many millions, I don’t need that much.” They offer, you say yes.
Direct your hate elswhere, man. None of what Eddy has done against NY has been intentional or irrational.

I agree

If I know I was overweight, fragile and had no job prospects and had an option for millions of dollars…shit, I don’t even know why it’s being called an option. It should be called a “what do you think?”

for real man

the simple fact that he was able to lose a ton of weight and get into playing shape (unfortunately he got injured again, and obviously was rustified) despite the slew of massive personal tragedy in his life, is pretty amazing.

i know its crazy, but i have not ruled out eddy curry as a potential contributor. if he can overcome the personal tumult and duress he’s been under, to become a contributing player on any team in the league, it will be such an amazing story. the odds are against him, but being mean-spirited is out man.

last chance to dance in NY this year

and he can really only increase his value. if he’s around come october 30, i honestly think he’ll be getting some minutes here and there.

i hope so

when we got curry and lee beating down the other team for offensive boards, plus chandler going after it…. man, we could be good.

a little potential realized, and we might already have something

BOOOOO Eddy BOOOOOO

Why did that fool say he wants the Knicks to buy him out? How stupid is he? Even if he wants that bad enough to give Mike D, Walsh and the owner B-jobs he shouldn’t mouth that off to the press! Punk sounds like a crackhead.

We should strap his fat butt to a tree, like they did Jack Black in Tropic Thunder, and wait till that fugly contract expires.

If ONLY New Orleans would go for a deal of Eddy’s expiring deal+Tony D for CP3 & one of their ugly contracts.

It’s LeBRON, not LeBrAHHHn, Chris Broussard you Rick Brunson rippoff!!
