Media Killed the Fact Star

Here's the Media Being the Media

This story exemplifies why the Media is so down on the Knicks. It's because they have no idea what they're talking about and make "news" out of second hand speculation from second hand sources. It really is the telephone game little kids play at school in full effect.

Let's start with the title, "The New York Knicks are gluttons for punishment." This title sets the tone off really well let's see how he backs it up..."All things considered, the New York Knicks had a good offseason...However, it's hard to justify playing dead for two seasons to acquire those five guys," speak on the guys we just acquired. So, he starts off the story by saying we had a good offseason? And can you elaborate further on two dead seasons?

There is no mention of needing to gut our entire roster of the rotting bodies that were there. Also, no mention of the young talent we've been grooming to make our team more attractive for potential free agents. Or the fact that we are installing a whole new system and need specific players to fit that system. I'd really love to see their opinion on who we "should" have signed and the contract numbers.

Let's see in 2008 we had some options like Mickael Gelabale, Blake Aheam, or maybe P.J Brown. Or in 2009 we could have splurged on Lorenzen Wright, Melvin Ely, or Calvin Booth. It's also worth mentioning Jake Voskul was available both of those years. So have at Kirby, what would you have done? Actually no. No one cares what your bias opinion is. I'd rather DWTDD or KWTDK,..

He then mentions a comment from Marc Berman of what he heard from Donnie Walsh. A quote you ask, nope, his interpretation of an interpretation of what Donnie said. Great reporting! But wait there's some more... "The funniest part is who might take over in the front office. "From ESPN's Chris Broussard: A reunion between Isiah Thomas and the New York Knicks is possible, according to Donnie Walsh." The whole story of that ridiculously misconstrued quote can be found here.

Here's what he followed that up with, "I wouldn't rule it out, but I wouldn't rule anybody out," he continued "But we're getting ahead of ourselves because I'm not even thinking about hiring a general manager." So basically Trey Kirby is spinning an already negative story on the Knicks from that hack Broussard and putting it on Yahoo?. This has been at least 75% of the journalism we've read here over the last 3 years. My friend's cousin's, brother's, priest's, 8 year old alter boy said, "The Knicks suck, can I go home now." So, from this I will stand by my "sources" and prove the Knicks suck. F You Wojo, F You Kirby, F You Berman, and especially F You, you weasal POS Broussard, I'm out.
