The coach doesn't like me
The coach didn't give me enough minutes to show my game. How many times do we have to listen to this silly complaint from disgruntled players?. Larrry Hughes, Darko, Nate, and now we have Al Harrington telling us that D'Antoni did not like him. Of couse there are many others, but these come to mind because they are recent. There are even posts on this board suggesting that D'Antoni was not giving minutes to certain players because he didn't lilke them, the prime example being Nate. All were given many chances (especially Nate) to prove their value and they all failed badly. Coaches dislike players who do not contribute to the team.eg. Eddy Curry. Common sense should tell us that coaches want to win and that means putting the best players on the floor. Personal feelings are irrelevant. Any coach in the NBA would start Jack the Ripper if Jack could average 20/10. Actually Amare might be Jack is disguise.

There's a common them among those players
aside from Darko…they’re all the same player! They love to chuck the ball up without regard to the offense.
Darko I think just can’t shoot, and there’s always a reason he’s never stuck anywhere despite his talents (which he showed with Minnesota last year what he can really do if he tries). Probably immaturity, which has a lot to do with Nate.
Larry Hughes is a POS.
I have no idea what Harrington is complaining about.
What I see about this year’s team…really, the only one I can see that may have the chance of clashing with Pringles is Randolph cuz if his inconsistency. Other then that, we have a bunch of good characters.
Bye, Lee :(
Harrington was reaaaally goin in on the subliminal darts thrown at D Antoni
It’s just sour grapes tho, Head Crease WANTED to come back and was dissed so now he’s bitching like some crazy ex just because u gave her sister one too many wine coolers and she let you suck her titty…ridiculous.
What did the 5 fingers say to the face?

In fairness
Nate never actually complained publicly.

You are quite right
I stand corrected, but there were many posts on this board critical of D’Antoni for benching Nate for " personal reasons"
I truly belive
that when Nate Robinson retires from a healthy NBA career, he will credit that month benching as the time when he started to get it.
I am a fan of both the mets and knicks... so just kill me now.
It is all a bunch of BS
Coaches are the same throughout the league in this regard. They play guys who they believe will help them win ball games. A coach can hate a player’s guts, but if they guy can help him win he will play him, even if he doesn’t like it. It is about getting results not popularity. Plus Al shouldn’t complain D’Antoni never benched him and dude played like 30 minutes a night.

D'Antoni quote from last season
“They think it’s always personal. I don’t know a coach yet that says, you know what, I don’t like him [and] I’d rather lose. That doesn’t work. I’d play Satan himself if I could win. I got no morals or scruples. I’m judged if we win or lose. There is nothing else. You win enough, you stay, you lose enough, you’re gone.”
but
ive never seen a coach have so many complaints from former players, as d’antoni has…i remember hearing Steven A Smith almost a year ago, saying that a majority of the NBA disliked the way he handled marbury (making him bust his ass to get in his best shape, and then never playing him) and that he was doing the same to nate
<follow me @theinfamousazad
re but
Truth is Marbury himself knew he had to get in good shape for his contract year. Do you realize that Marbury played himself out of the league, not D’Antoni. He even blew his shot with the Celts. Any player can find a way to get along with the coach or not (or vice versa). Regarding Nate, I think D’Antoni took the benching thing way too long-no way he needed to be benched so long. But a lot of Nate’s fans, including Barkley, feel that he is too talented to be clowning around the way he does-if he concentrated more, sky’s the limit.
If anything, D’Antoni should have been building UP players’ trade value, not tearing their value down. This includes Nate, Curry and Stef. No issue with Walsh’s roster teardown; but the Knicks should’ve been building up player value, stockpiling draft picks, AND clearing cap space at the same time.
Pringles doesn't deal with players who are cancer's well...
oh well.
When you have people like Marbury, Hughes, Harrington, Eddy Curry and even Nate Robinson…what are you supposed to do? These guys are all idiots, tho Nate I guess is just immature, in a good-ish way.
Its easy to overlook it, but the situation Pringles was coaching through was about as tough as you can get, given all the jackasses and idiots on the team.
