It's the Lee Trade that keeps on giving
I think it's safe to say that we're all sad to see David Lee go, and we're all happy with what we got in return (Randolph, Azubuike, Turiaf).
You can read it here: http://www.theknicksblog.com/2010/07/21/knicks-received-2-second-round-picks-in-the-lee-trade/
Maybe you guys already heard this, but it was news to me.
This is good because even if Donnie can't find a gem (a guy with Landry for his middle name perhaps?) these picks would be attractive to a small market team looking for financial relief (because second rounders don't get guaranteed contracts). Donnie could possibly turn them into a first round pick, or something. Anyway, the David Lee trade is looking like more of a steal everyday.
Oh and I'm sure we're all wishing David Lee the best recovery possible with his injured finger. Get well soon Dave.

I still can't believe how great a person David Lee is going to the Knicks security guard's funeral to pay his respects...
David Lee is a hero to me!
Have you ever talked to the guy?
He goes unnoticed in the streets I swear! He’d walk and talk with you like he wasn’t an NBA All-Star because people don’t scream and rush him when spotted.. He’s my friend on Xbox, played him in Modern Warfare 2 a couple of times.

Yeah I'm really liking the quantity of 2nd rounders approach
Great way to work the draft and still keep your payroll tidy
2nd round picks are like gold
and to get 2 of the Warriors, when well…sorry Dub’s fans, its likely to be a top 10 pick still…its really a plus.
Go New York Go!
He's right. lol

What did Nellie Know?
The bg trade looks like a great deal for NY. Azu and Turiaf seem solid and Randolph is a potential NBA star. We now learn that Nelson gave up 2 2nd round choices.. Something is suspicious about this trade. I don’t think this is a win-win trade for both teams. Either Donnie pulled off a terrific coup, or Nelli has some concealed special information about these 3, especially Randolph. I still think it’s a great deal for NY, but time will tell who got shafted.
By even hinting at giving Nelson any credit
you are giving him FAR too much credit. This guy would start a lineup with no one over 6’7" in it somewhat consistently. What do you know, his teams usually don’t do anything?!?!
Also, he’s just the coach, not the GM or Owner.
Well
All of them are injury prone, but I don’t think that’s secret info. But I consider Azu and Turiaf as the parts that sweetened the deal, I’d say it’s a good trade if we only got Randolph.
I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.
