So with all the talk of us signing Amar'e (should I call him STAT?), whether or not it helps us as a solitary acquisition, whether it's an upgrade over Lee or whether he was worth the commitment, it seems some people have stopped watching the steps of the other marquee FA's.
Wade has already met with Chicago twice, bringing along his agent for the 2nd meeting. It looks like a move to Chicago or Miami (more-so than LeBron to Cleveland) is a virtual certainty. His meetings with Bosh have indicated that they're going to try and play together next season, whether it be Miami or Chicago. So if DW and Bosh go to Chicago together ( I don't know the exact salary cap figures, does Chicago have to do a S&T?), would that leave us in the best possible position to land LeBron. It'd eliminate Miami AND Chicago from the list of possible teams, leaving us as the frontrunners to land him. So are we keeping our fingers crossed for Wade and Bosh to go somewhere together? Would that convince LeBron that him and Stoudemire can make a better 1-2 combo?
