I tip my hat to LBJ

He nailed this thing.

He somehow, it what we all knew would be one of the craziest sports media frenzi of all time, got us right to the point with absolutely no idea what he is going to do.

When July hit, I had no idea what to expect from James. I was trying to figure out how he would announce it while still leaving us waiting. Not only dont we have any idea, but we all know we have no idea.

Also, he managed to keep ESPN from making a boatload of money off of this. Had he not commandeered this hour from them, they would have had the bulk of viewers anyway. Now all that money from ESPN (which I really cant stand) goes to charity instead. Well done 'bron. Plus he gets to do it however HE wants.

He really is a marketing genius. He has been in the spotlight forever. Since he was like 12. Never a bad image of him. Never a blemish. He has been planning this whole thing for a long long time.

He spurns NYC. The marketing capitol of the world (The internet is a tool used by bureaucracy, it wont make living in Florida have the same brand affect as living in NYC. Not even close. ) for Miami? No. He wants the spotlight. He gets us into a frenzy, then makes himself into the hero. We do love a good stage show here.

He will be in NYC. He has us right where he wants us.
