Your Newly Acquired Players from the Warriors
Hey Knicks Fans, I just want to give you guys a little insight on what we Golden State fans (yes, I'm a Warriors fan) think about Anthony Randolph, Ronny Turiaf, and Kelenna Azubuike. It was very hard seeing these three players leaving our team, even in getting David Lee in return. They give it their all EVERY single night, even with all the injuries we faced last year.
Anthony Randolph was probably the hardest to give up. This kid is full of potential and is only 20 years old. From what we have seen (limited playing time thanks to Don Nelson), he could end up being an all-star in the future. I think he will definitely be a fan favorite with his crazy blocks and dunks. His mid-range game has been developing nicely too. I think with Amare as a mentor, he should be better than ever.
Things to Look Out For: Attitude problems at the beginning of the year, Very emotional, injury that cost him a lot of the season.
Ronny Turiaf is definitely one of my favorite players in the league. He was easily our best shot-blocker on the team and is a great leader. He is the one who will get your team rallied up. He shows that offense isn't the only thing that makes a player good and he is a great asset to have on any team. I loved watching him dance after making some crazy plays.
Things to Look Out For: Very Passive (doesn't like shooting too much), undersized, bad knees.
Kelenna Azubuike is a very underrated player. He can do a little bit of everything: He's a great three-point shooter, can drive the ball with strength, rebound, play defense. Azubuike is not afraid to dive on the floor and will do all the dirty work.
Things to Look Out For: Knee injury was very bad
I believe that these three players are a great addition to any team and they will greatly be missed with the Warriors. I think you will be very pleased with what they can bring to the table.
Good Luck to your Team!

ya def going to miss randolph (i know already posted this but damn can u blame me?)
I like you guys from GSoM
You guys have had to deal with some shit the last few years too.
I know you didn’t wanna give up those 3 guys either. At least you do get something very exciting and reliable in return though.
Lee isn’t flashy, but you guys will love the heart he plays with and how he just plays every game and shuts his mouth.
Believe me when I tell you, most of us really wanted him to have a chance to be on this Knicks team when we finally turn it around. I personally would rather have him than a Chris Bosh. Without even blinking.

The Knicks didn't get Lee's value in return....
I don’t think turiaf will do half what Lee did in terms of dirty work….
Randolph needs a lot of work… He’s a great potential player…. key word: POTENTIAL…. Still needs a lot of direction…
Kelena was a player i think Donnie wanted for the expiring contract next summer….
Lee was ready now… I believe the Knicks got a second round pick? I’m definitely loving the draft pick…. The warriors are likely to get us a VERY high second round pick….
The players we got are all below average in terms of what they can provide now….
I just hope Turiaf is willing to grab the boards that Amare isn’t able to contend for.
We will need a lot of rebounds on the defense end to get this team rolling.
If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere...It's up to you, New York, New York!!!!
Still Like Randolph....
I hope he developes into what he is capable of….
I just see him as a project that might take 2 or 3 years starting today….
He might improve faster now; that he has a real true ball player to look up to in AMARE…..
He never had any sort of guidance in Golden State…. Even his coach sucked…. Just Maybe AMARE and D’Antoni can show him the ropes and he’ll pick the game up fast and impress the Garden…
If I can make it there, I'll make it anywhere...It's up to you, New York, New York!!!!
Remember this post, dude.
I think we got excellent pieces for David Lee. Consider that Lee could have also walked without ANYTHING coming back for NY…
I envision Turiaf to be a solid presence helping out at the 5. He can run and block shots but we aren;t gonna expect a double-double from him. Azubuike might be a similar role to Raja Bell… a guy who can play some very good defense and knock down 3s on the kick out.
And Randolph is a dude we are gonna want to just let loose and see what he can do. He is not a 2-3 year project from now… THIS is his 3rd year. He was ready to bust out last season but dealt with an injury and craziness in GS.
I’m not saying we landed 3 all-stars, but I am really psyched about what we received for David Lee. And I strongly believe you will be surprised in a great way too.

I'm excited
about Randolph and Turiaf, but I’m not so sure on Azubuike. For all the talk about his D and whatnot, I’ve heard he wasn’t that quick on D, and got by on being a smart player & knowing his positioning. With his knee injury, I don’t know if he can compensate for the loss of athleticism. If he comes back like he was, great, I’m just worried he won’t. But AR seems ready to go 20-10 for us this year if everything falls in place. Turiaf is a great dude on the bench, gives you 20 minutes of straight energy, blocks, and defense. I’m lovin this team right now. Playoffs are a good look.
Donnie's bout to beat the NBA game like he got a cheat code
you can never tell
how much a player will recover after his injuries… especially if it’s a serious one like azubuike’s. But he’s a pretty strong guy…look at his biceps haha (his teammates always joke about those things). Monta recovered very well from his injury as he still has his explosiveness and I think azubuike will make a strong comeback…but like I said.. you never know. Now on defense, Azubuike isn’t a perimeter defense player. He exceled when he guarded players like Kobe who would spend a lot of time near the elbows posting. His strength really helps him with this.

Honestly...
I haven’t seen David Lee play too much besides the times when he was ripping up the Warriors. I didn’t make this post to compare the players… I was just informing you guys on how Warriors fans felt about them. I think you will be very surprised with Azubuike and learn to love all of these players just as I have. Basically, I wanted to let you guys know that this trade wasn’t easy for us.. even with such a talented player as Lee. Many of us at GSoM didn’t like this trade at all…
its difficult giving up guys you drafted
Randolph and Lee particularly.
So yeah it was weird for us at first too. But I am agreeing with the seeming majority saying this helps both teams well. It’s gonna be interesting to say the least. The good thing is GS still has some exciting guys and maybe now they have the makings of a consistent lineup.
Shit, if Lee ends up spending time on the bench, Nelson should go immediately. Ellis, Curry, Lee, Biedrins… you guys got some pieces I tell ya!

As much as I like the players the Knicks got
giving up Lee is tough. All these down years, Lee’s basically been through a ton. I don’t want to knock the Warriors, but I would’ve rather seen Lee go to a team that’s closer to contending, like the Thunder or Spurs.
But playing Nellie-ball, Lee will excel. The guy’s been always healthy and just seems to add something new to his game not only every year, but it seems every game he breaks out something new.
He, Curry and Ellis should be exciting to watch to say the least.
Bye, Lee :(
