Knicks sign Landry Fields
Thanks to all of you that were on top of it in the FanPosts.
via his Twitter feed:
Officially signed my contract for the New York Knicks!
This was expected considering his Summer League performance and how the staff gushed over his talents but it's still something we're all glad to see happen considering what happened with Jerome Jordan. Like Andy Rautins' contract, figures haven't been announced yet, but once they're out, we'll clue you in. Alan Hahn says his contract is for two years with 500k guaranteed in the first season.

Yes!
I know I’m biased, but I seriously think this kid is going to make it. He’s going to be in this league for awhile. He’s got those intangibles that every coach loves. Even if it takes an injury, I bet you he finds a way onto the floor and turns some heads.
And yes, I booed this pick at first also. I’m a Knicks fan. What’dya expect?
They will be for!

great to have him
yes, we will all one day say we hailed this pick.
remember this year 15-40 were all considered around the same.
i think we found one closer to the real 15!
as an aside, did you see that krstic got a 3 game fiba ban.
that’s for attacking a player already in a scrum, inciting a riot, and then throwing a chair voluntarily.
the guy should have gotten a one-year ban.
no wonder they say the competitive juices boil in europe.
Good stuff.

Great News
Now L.Fields has some options to succeed with the Knicks after signing. He can work to become our third man from the three spot to get some time. If we get Carmelo and have to trade W.Chandler he can become the second unit three.
who is "we"
i thought you like the nets?
"they try to do what he do, and been where he's been, but they get folded in two.....he's the dude"
Seems like he's both...
Nets is his favorite out of the two I’m guessing. Is being a fan of the Knicks and Nets worst then being a fan of the Yankees and Red Sox? What about the Jets and Dolphins? Giants and Cowboys? Celtics and Lakers? Carolina and Duke? Hmmmm…

I'd say its more like being a fan of the Islanders and Rangers
meaning its pretty ridiculous and real diehards of either side would use the term “bandwagoner”.

Your All Wrong
I am a B-Ball Junkie whom roots only for the Nets/Knicks. In football its the Bills/Giants and in baseball just the Yankees. Never a Red Sox in my life.
Lost me at Bills

Very happy about this !!
I’ve been excited about this guy and his talents since we drafted him. I’m glad they finally signed him. I was praying that we didn’t let another gem slip through our fingers once again.
I watched some of his college games and he didn’t disappoint. Who can argue with a guy that was 8th in the nation in scoring and led the Pac-10 overall ?? The thing that impressed me most was the fact that while not starting, he posted solid numbers and did not give up on trying to improve his game as shown in his Sr. season averaging a career best 22 ppg and 8 rebs. His play during summer league only solidified the notion that he was a good player with real talent.
I’m looking forward to seeing what he will do when coach D’Antoni calls for no. 6.
This guy could end up being the steal of the draft
I saw him play in college and he is an absolute assassin. Hopefully, in a couple of months GMs around the league will be scratching their heads wondering how they could have passed on him.
To be honest...
Nilov, while you may have a point, I don’t think we drafted him for his looks..
Great move!
WTH took so F-ing long!! You guys talking about Proactiv?! Who gives a @#$% about his face! We ain’t gotta kiss him, so who cares. All those ugly ass roll players to put a dagger in the Knicks hearts over the years! The hall of Fame is full of them! Now we may have one of our own!
