Amare And Carmelo Attached By The Hip At New York Concert
Amare Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony are good friends; we all know this and they were spotted together Wednesday night at rappers Eminen and Jay-z's concert at Yankee Stadium. Amare and Carmelo's names have been mentioned in the same sentences for quite some time now; everything they do is tied to each other one way or another. Amare's manager was present at the concert as well and I'm not calling this guy the next Nostradamus but he tweeted this during the concert.
@Amareisreal and @carmeloanthony in the suite choppin it up. I wonder what they are talking about…hmmm NYKnicks
Maybe this gentleman is right, maybe he's wrong but it does raise an eyebrow does it not? I'd bet my money they weren't talking about Melo taking his talents to Manhattan though and here's why. That conversation MOST DEFINITELY has already happened, these guys are close friends, maybe even best friends and I'd bet my life that they've already talked about Carmelo playing with the Knicks in the future. They were probably talking about how sweet Serena Williams has been to Amare you follow me? I believe Amare already knows what Carmelo is planning to do and I'm sure there are other people who knows also. Let's get to that other someone.
(From Right to Left: New York Jets Pro Bowl Offensive Lineman D'Brickashaw Ferguson, Amare Stoudemire, Fat Joe, Mike D'Antoni, Spike Lee, Allan Houston, Chris Rock, John Starks.)
As you can see in the picture above Fat Joe has some connections with the Knicks organization appearing at a get together for top of the line Knicks supporters and personnel. Let's not be angry at Fat Joe. Yes he's a "gangsta" rapper and shouldn't be too involved with the Knicks, Yes he's known for his belly and its Mr. Fantastic rubbery flexibility but he's worked wonders for this franchise as of late. Dolan actually publicly thanked him for recruiting Amare. I know Dolan's approval may only be worth a bite size milky way nowadays but I'd take his recommendation on my resume any day of the week. Let's get to the point; what does Fat Joe have to do with anything? Keep reading you know you want to.
"Fat Joe", is definitely a very good friend of Carmelo; also, Fat Joe is a huge Knicks fan and is "in" with the Knicks organization. Yesterday (09/15/10) during a radio interview he said that there is a "99.9%" chance Melo comes to the Knicks, and said "wink-wink", and he also said that he has been begging Chris Paul to come as well.
Via KnicksVision
Once again, I'm not saying Fat Joe is the next Nostradamus but he's going all in with Knicks recruiting and I'd love to keep him on the books. He isn't the best rapper alive or even in the top 30 on my list but if he has some kind of influence on players and could get them to eventually sign here why not embrace him? Whether he persuades with grenades or hugs I'm all for it. This isn't the only time he's been hinting that Carmelo intends to be a Knick, he reportedly actually got Carmelo to say it himself.
Source at oak1: Fat joe..."We need you in NY with amar'e you coming?...melo-"yeah"...crowd goes nuts...#we'llsee
Via Tommy Dee
At a nightclub here in New York, Fat Joe and Carmelo appeared on stage and Joe asked Melo if he's coming to NY to play with Amare. Carmelo answers a very dull "Yeah" but it's a vocal answer nonetheless, something HWSNBN has never done when asked if he would play here. Tommy Dee wasn't the only person reporting this, nor did he break the news. A bunch of riled up drunk belligerent party goers' actually laid this one out there, how's that for a source ESPN. Whether you want to believe it or not that's up to you, but if a group of drunks all told me this I'd believe em. I don't know what that says about me as a person but I'm willing to take the heat.
Lastly, has anyone noticed the amount of time Carmelo has been in New York in the past week? I had no idea until I read it at KnicksVision. He's been to the U.S. Open (With Amare), various fashion shows, the concert at Yankee Stadium, the Ravens/Jets game (...) and he took his son to visit FAO Schwartz which is a toy store in Manhattan. He's living it up. Yeah I know I just crapped on P&T with another Carmelo post but in the near future it will all be justified, stay optimistic my friends.

So is Fat Joe our World Wide Wes?
All I know is that I want to guard him at the next Knick Fan Hoops Tournament
I may be stupid but I am not an idiot,
this is not related to your comment in anyway
but i got a kick out of you rockin’ the FTP tough guy avatar here at P&T. good stuff.

Thanks
he looks just like me except I shaved my beard off yesterday because my food was sticking in it.
I may be stupid but I am not an idiot,
go figure
i think mine is the elephant right now, so needless to say my avatar doesn’t resemble me at all. i gotta get good enough to be a red pro with the custom avatar, obviously.

I'm one of the few posters that actually has my face as my avatar...
Why is that!?

it matches your screen name
i’m latrell chokewell, so naturally i have a pic of spree.
you’re MikeTheIntern, so you have a pic of… mike the intern. makes sense, no?

Your's makes perfect sense.
But there are some that don’t. Ive seen beer avatars, dogs all kinds of stuff that didn’t match their names. I don’t have a problem with that but I’m like the only unmasked poster here and that’s kind of cool.

i dont think thats you
just some half faced green guy
"they try to do what he do, and been where he's been, but they get folded in two.....he's the dude"
basically, it's the players that FTP sponsors
so for example, Phil Ivey is a red pro. you can tell who the red pros are because their screen names are in a red font instead of a black one. usually the red pros are poker players that you would recognize from TV or just random celebrities, but there are some guys who got sponsored strictly by playing beastly online.
the benefit to being a red pro is that you get 100% rakeback (all the fees that you pay to FTP come back to you), $35/hour, and a custom avatar. it’s a pretty sweet deal for those guys.

Sounds like your a player?
I must admit that I have mostly gotten my ass kicked at FTP. But I do enjoy the tournaments.
I may be stupid but I am not an idiot,
no shame in that
i don’t make a ton of $ or anything, just enough to keep it as a self-sustaining hobby. it’s nice that i can do something i enjoy and occasionally make a little pocket change on the side. definitely a change of pace from, say, being a Knicks fan, which is also great but costs me money in tickets and concessions when i can make it to a game.
i started out playing tournaments, but i moved to the heads up sit n’ go as my game of choice. i like going one-on-one with another player, and i usually finish a game within 10 minutes. as much as i like tournaments, they take forever if you go deep in one.

I mostly play at sportsbook.com
I put in $50 about four months ago and got it up to about $500 then got reckless and lost most of it back, then got it back up again to $200 which is about where I stand now. During that time I donated about $100 to FTP
I may be stupid but I am not an idiot,
Also, where was that picture taken?
In a massage parlor? uggh. Somebody call the wallpaper police.
I may be stupid but I am not an idiot,
I think it was at Dolan's house
But i’m not 100% sure.

i gotta say
the carmelo hype has way more to it than the lebron hype ever did. i think right now NY has to be the front runner for him, unlike the LBJ and Bosh signings where we had to be an underdog. we should be more disappointed if he doesn’t come here than when we missed out on LBJ.
also, who the hell labels photos from right to left? i know that we love anything Hebrew around here, but come on.

I gotta agree
But I also believe, using a poker analogy, that we are sitting on the button with a pretty good hand. All that recent Chicago talk is a spin bullshit smokescreen put out by LLCMLLM.. Our Ace in the hole is Lady Lala and her NYC family ties and career. I think if we sit tight and not blow up the team we can still have our cake and eat it.
I may be stupid but I am not an idiot,

Haha, I get that a lot, I’ve always labeled them like that for some reason. Its a habit. I’m left handed as well so I was born weird and opposite.

new idea for a fanpost
a history of left-handed Knicks. if anyone would be interested in doing that, it’s you.

aka
its cool in all that they chillin in tihe streets of NY..but we cant put this info as a subliminal guarantee but not guarantee that melo is coming here. Me personally I dont even think about it anymore. If it happends before the season, then aye, it will surprise the shit out of me literally. And my reaction will pend on who we lose in the deal. Other than that, im not listenin to shit until the deadline approaches..then back to not giving a shit again till FA are eligible to sign.
"they try to do what he do, and been where he's been, but they get folded in two.....he's the dude"
Carmelo Anthony will soon be the newest members of the Knicks City Dancers
you heard it here first.
but cmon man
He isn’t the best rapper alive or even in the top 30
we talkin pre or post Pun… either way. He’s got albums I let ride through. Definately top 30
"they try to do what he do, and been where he's been, but they get folded in two.....he's the dude"
He’s in my Top 30 cause I probably can’t name 30 Rappers. Pun was and still is the better of the two. Don Cartegena was pretty good though.
Rappers having influence on where athletes play? If Jay-Z couldn’t do it I doubt Fat Joe will.
Starks > Jordan
I just never liked Fat Joe.
I’m a New Yorker yes but I never liked his songs. Only a handful of his songs I like.

Donnie's bout to beat the NBA game like he got a cheat code
Cam over Fat joe?!
cmon.. gorrillas with chinchillas..
cmon.. gorrillas with chinchillas..bannana bana fo fana.
cmon.. gorrillas with chinchillas..bannana bana fo fana.^ cam lol. although S.D.E was good.
"they try to do what he do, and been where he's been, but they get folded in two.....he's the dude"
Fat Joe is in my Top 10
If this deal is really gonna get done then both Denver and the Knicks should publicly announce that they are cutting off all ties and talks with Leon Rose, World Wide Wes, and LLMCLLML Then let things cool down for a couple of weeks and send Fat Joe in there to finish the deal.
I may be stupid but I am not an idiot,
Fat Joe is one of the top 30 weakest alive...
about the only top 30 he’s in

If Joe could Pull this Off, It would be the best thing he has Done for NY since,
he helped get Big Pun signed. I put more faith in Amare getting him here than Joey Crack. I really feel it is LaLa who is going to get him to sign here, I know she wants to get back on Tv and there is no better place besides LA to get it done. Hot 97 or one of the other stations need to offer her a radio show to really push her to come and Melo will follow.
WHY YOU MAD SON?
Denver Needs to Unload Soon
Be patient, if he becomes a free agent then we will get him for nothing next year. Then with a 2011 front line of Stoudemire/Mozgov/Anthony will be solid. We then will have pieces to trade and go after other talents. 2012 F/A D.Williams will follow I hope.
easy there
whoah there big fella! easy now! settle down!!
everythings gonna be ok big boy! just cool your jets, skippy.
