I'm sorry for making you click on this thinking it was about Carmelo Anthony, really, I am. Carmelo is going to Jersey ok? Are we over it yet?......Good. I'm sad about it too (but glad it's almost over), and since there has been a rash of trade scenarios posted lately I thought I'd post mine and ask you about yours (pause). My question to you P&T'ers is who do you want to see donning the orange and blue after this trade deadline? At what price? And, why does this trade happen?

Let's not be completely realistic because frankly, it sucks. I say let's be realistic with a dash of fantasy sprinkled in for fun. Here, I'll go first:

Players:

Stephen Jackson. He's just an overall great player in my opinion. He can score in bunches, and defends like a beast.

Tyrus Thomas. Great defensive presence and alley-oop machine for Felton.

Boris Diaw. Decent shooter, and decent player but more importantly he's an expiring contract.

Price:

Curry, Mozzie, Randy, Bully, Buike, and (sadly) Safari.

Why?

Charlotte, is in debt AND wants to rebuild. We are in essence, sending them cap space and cheap talent. Timo's contract has clauses that can have it cancelled by it's franchise after this year, Randy is cheap and they can use him to either rebuild or trade him for a pick in June, Bully is an expiring next season ( + dirt cheap) and decent to hold them over till the end of the season, Safari cus' he'll get em fired up and is also an expiring, Buike is an expiring, and Curry can scrub their toilets and is also an expiring. I'd send them like $3 Mill too, just for their trouble. What's not to love?

Imagine this lineup:

Felton/ Douglas/ Rautins

Jackson <--> Fields

Chandler <--> Gallo/ Williams

Thomas <-->Amar'e / Diaw

Amar'e <--> Thomas / Williams

This lineup is a contender. I'm serious. We'd be fast, defensive, young (only 1 player over 30---Jackson) and aggressive as all hell. We get bigger with this lineup too. What do you guys think?
