Curry for Wallace?
This trade doesn't involve the Knicks whatsoever, but It got me thinking...what would you guys think about an Eddy Curry for Gerald Wallace swap?
I like this, because for one, it's much better than simply cutting Eddy after the deadline. Might as well get some value for it. Plus, Wallace (although he's not playing on an All-Star Caliber level this year) can help to remedy the rebounding woes and bring some super energy to the Knicks' bench.

i did that in 2k11 but it involves giving up draft picks but it sure helps us with rebounding
Victory goes to the courageous!!
He's currently being looked at by Cleveland in return for pure cap space.
We wouldn’t need to involve picks in the deal, and it’s a hell of alot better than cutting Eddy after the deadline.

I would weep with joy if we could trade just Eddy Curry for Wallace
If that could actually be worked out… fuck Carmelo, seriously.

Bein’ honest, I don’t know enough about em on the defensive end to say that he’d be an improvement at all. But shit, it’s another decently sized body (with length) that D’Antoni can throw out there to play.

An improvement over Melo? Oh man, that's the best part
I think Wallace would start being the subject of some legit Defensive Player of the Year talk if he played for the Knicks, if only just by the Knicks reputation inflation. But still, dude is a beast on D, plus a decent shooter (not as good as Chandler this season, but better than Chandler historically) and an athletic freakshow who can really play 2-4 at 6’ 7". Dude averaged 10 rebounds per game last year! Getting him for just Curry (and maybe someone else outside the Landry/Wilson/Gallo young core) would be a dream come true. I bet he would love to be reunited with Felton in an uptempo system too where he doesn’t have to be counted on to score. I can’t believe Jordan would just give him away… I kind of want to shout this from the rooftops and like… make it happen somehow. I am actually drooling right now.

Honestly, I don’t see any reason that both teams don’t jump at this trade. Knicks get the aforementioned Gerald Wallace, and the Bobcats get a nice chunk of bank that they lose after this year and a player in Walker that’s playing superb right now, but who wouldn’t be a huge ouchie if things didn’t work out and they had to cut em.
Make it happen, Donnie.

It’s certainly a good article in support of contracting a few teams in the NBA.

I like Wallace, but he's injury prone and will decline sharply over the next few seasons
so I want no part of him as a Knick, really

i dunno
i really like how Wallace would fit in, but what’s the opportunity cost? we won’t be able to get superstars in 2011 or 2012. on the other hand, to get a piece like that and give up absolutely nothing…
i will say that, even if i have reservations, it’s the best trade idea i’ve seen on P&T in a long time. i’m still mulling this one over.
