If you didn't catch the game, this site would say you shouldn't watch. So would all of us that did.

glass half-full

hey, at least the Knicks were able to pull off the amazing feat of losing to the three worst teams in basketball (Kings, Cavs, T’Wolves) before the the midpoint of January.

there are going to be ups and downs over an 82-game season, but i can’t find any scenario where losing to a pair of 8-30 teams is acceptable.

Ewing with the step...YES! and the foul!

This game was wack as fuck from the get-go.

I didn’t enjoy watching a single minute of it. There’s nothing you could even take from it, only that you were tired and got your shit beaten in. If this season is going to be one to remember, for any positive reason, they can’t drop games to the worst team in a conference.

Just awful.

Oz! thank god

I was worried that you would wake up in a sewer with a hangover after this one. Yeah, it was a remedial game. I was sitting next to a little boy and his dad, so I really had to bite my tongue and be lady-like (ugh) the entire game. It nearly took everything within me not to yell expletives.

Bully and TD

did some nice things tonite, i thought. It killed me, though, that our guys kept busting ass to recover the ball only to kick it right into the hands of Sacramento. EVERY. TIME. It was a strange game. Twilight Zone.

by KnickChick on Jan 15, 2011 1:28 AM EST up reply actions

Well, you can blame it on the fact that they were tired.

Which is a fact. They were all real, real tired. But that can’t be an excuse. You have to be better athletes than that. Better conditioned.

But who am I to say? I woke up today at 1, and just sat around ever since! I’m unconditioned as fuck!
Fuck it!

I am so glad I decided to bail at the half

Without Gallo, a combined 6-29 from Felton and Chandler is so not going to cut it. Shit, even with Gallo that kind of brickfest would probably not suffice, even against the Kings. Brutal.

Free Randolph!!

Same here. For some reason I got a hunch that we were never going to get swishing.

Meh but we lost this match up last season & are still 12 games better off so I can deal with. Suns next on MLK day so I get to watch at a decent hour. Yay!

Worst. Game. Ever.
No but seriously, where the fuck is gallinari!?
I think we can all agree gallo was much missed. I dunno the official stats but by my count the kings had approximately 147 blocks

I saw on ESPN that Udrih played out of his mind, but what was the barfiness on the Knicks’ end?

it was like watching high school ball

slow, sloppy. what’s even more sad is that i heard on good word that Kings hit the town hard last nite.

by KnickChick on Jan 15, 2011 12:57 AM EST via mobile up reply actions

Oh, I was there too

Of course the only time I could go to the game all season is when this shit happens.

John Mayer getting booed out of the building almost made it worth it, though.

Fields, on the follow!

by nygmp42 on Jan 15, 2011 1:00 AM EST up reply actions

JM getting booed was definitely a highlight

I also got a Haagen Dazs and a vodka soda – the only things I choose to remember from this evening.

by KnickChick on Jan 15, 2011 1:07 AM EST up reply actions

at first i thought the haagen dazs, vodka, and soda were all together

and couldn’t decide whether that would be delicious or horrible. i mean, like, if you took a root beer float and added liquor?

truth is that it probably tastes delicious and leaves you looking like the Francis pic up top later that night – but there’s only one way to find out, right? i sort of want to try that concoction now.

i had a bad feeling…maybe it was all the caspi fans (whoa!), but O-M-F-G what a disgusting game….from the first to the last quarter we couldnt hit anything and were so weak it reminded me of a high school game…. ugh

oh well 22-17 is still better than the last like 5 years so hey…muffle…muffle…nonesense….

Wow just got in, and I guess it's a good thing I'm pretty sauced.

It didn’t get any better after the 1st half, did it. I was actually hoping not to see Francis this season.

Looking at the box score it doesn’t seem so horrendous except for SAC’s BS, our BA and 3/FG% compared to ours. We really lost the game right there. I don’t even want to know how embarrassingly low our points off TOs was, even though they had 22 to our 15. No real excuse for this game. Just gonna have to accept these kind of losses with the young, growing team we have. Man that was a flat, flat start.

Goddamn we didn’t even score 20 points two out of four quarters? I hope Monday gives us reason to feel better against Phoenix. Ugh what a shitty game.

by GAx on Jan 15, 2011 1:29 AM EST reply actions

A bunch of people, including me, freaked out during and immediately after the game.

But in the end, there are still 43 games to be played and when the season’s over, this will just be a loss. The Knicks just need to come back on Monday and beat the Suns, and that’s the most important thing.

by tkow on Jan 15, 2011 2:06 AM EST up reply actions

you catch teach height

any team that knows how to use their length against the knicks is playing the knicks smart.

saw that in the utah game as well (fug the refs) where ak and jefferson just put in work in the frontcourt. every fan will agree that amar’e needs frontcourt help, but every post on it recommends gasol or some other player knicks dont have on the team. amar’e needs help now, and seeing ar and moz dnp is not cute.

by cheers from manhattan on Jan 15, 2011 5:05 AM EST reply actions

Hopefully Knicks trade Randolph for a #1 & get a shot @ 7-0 Donatas Motiejunas.
He’s bigger than Gallo & plays more of an inside gm, but can still bury the outside
shot.

We need more length.

by frankiec on Jan 15, 2011 7:09 AM EST reply actions

Motiejunas isn't that good

I kept thinking the run would come, but it didn’t. Oh well. Gotta win the next one, and so on…
