Looks like we will be seeing a little more Russian Red

From our main man Hahn

I get the feeling from watching Timofey Mozgov lately in practice and in his pre-game workouts that he's just about ready for a second chance in the rotation. The Knicks obviously could use his size and after going through a tough stretch in which the game got so complicated for him he couldn't even catch a pass, Mozgov seems like he has his confidence back. The trick is to get on the court in meaningful minutes to prove he can make a positive contribution. D'Antoni continues to promote the small-ball strategy -- the latest theory is that it's better for Amar'e to play center because it forces other teams to play small and then there's only one big for him to go up against -- and yet Walsh said he thinks the team needs more size. "We could use another big man," Walsh said. "That's for sure." What good is acquiring a middle-of-the-road center if he's only going to take the bench seat vacated by whomever you traded for him? The goal may be to develop Mozgov to where he can fill that need on a regular basis. And somehow convince D'Antoni to give him a second chance.

Star-divide

i think we can all agree this is good news. Hopefully Hahn is on the mark here.

Would Love To See It Happen For Mozzy, But It Probably Wont!!!!!

Dear God, Im a Knicks Fan, Just wanted to say Thanks for Amare, but can you send him some help?

Mozzie will play sooner than later

Did anyone play close attention to the Wizards game. Turiaf playing Center, Chandler splitting time with Fields at 2 guard (Means Chandler as power forward experiment is probably over) Hell even Gallo played 4 with Chandler on the floor (hey is twas for like 2 minutes but that is something). Donnie Walsh has never been a fan of smurf ball. Remember Pringles did not start playing a smurfy lineup until Donnie went into the hospital. Donnie let him get away with it because he was winning more games than he was losing. But after this losing streak, Amar’e and Chandler looking obviously beat up, I think Donnie let Mike know, enough wit the small ball! Donnie went out and acquired 3 big guys this off-season so that Amar’e wouldn’t have to play Center, I think he has reminded Pringles of that fact.

I think our exalted one linked to this somewhere yesterday

or someone did, be they exalted or not.

The Knicks all year have been working extensively with Moz, whether anyone knows it or not, he’s basically been their pet project. He IS the answer to our big dude questions. Its just been too early for everyone to hear that shit

I think we’ll see him soon. Well before the trading deadline too as Mozgov becoming a viable player basically makes any trade for a big completely useless.

Moz is still somewhat young and can develop and he could be the big man we are missing. It would be nice if he succeeds and this would solve our center problem. Him, Turiaf and Stat could share that position and this way we could focus more on getting Melo and whatever else the team has in mind.

Against Miami

I think its a great opportunity to play Mozzie. Joel Anthony is no way a offensive threat. Which would work with the fact that Mozzie is a "hack a shackanyone in front of him ".

Combine that with bosh out, Amare vs a bosh backup and mozzie against joel anthony. I like the odds in those matchups

im not so confident.. they still have Z.

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

LET'S GO RANGERS!!!

I agree. Through the white Russian into the mix.

If he racks up fouls, so what? Let him learn. Id rather him pick up the fouls than Amar’e anyways. We try so hard to keep guys like Mozgov and Turiaf from fouling out. Well… teach em a lesson! If they wanna hack away then let em foul out!

probably not worried about him fouling out...

probably don’t want to get into the penalty 2 minutes into the quarter.

though i do agree that moz’d be better served going out there free of fear. let him do his thing.

and maybe if we stop talking about his foul troubles, the refs will stop calling ticky tack fouls on him.

I think we should have Mozzie send the refs the finest Russian vodka

you know… as a peacemaker.
