So far the current problem has been, "how can we improve the center and point guard depth?" The only option discussed was that we would have to trade in order to get better at these positions. However, not much has been mentioned on who we can get from the NBDL. After some research I came up with a few interesting options that might be able to alleviate some problems the Knicks have at these positions.
For Center:
Sean Williams, Texas Legends, 6'10" 235 lbs.
Summary of stats 16.5 ppg, 10 rebspg, 3.1 blockspg(more in-depth stats on link below)
You might remember this guy as the loony dude(he punched and broke a computer screen at a supermarket) that New Jersey drafted from Boston College. Yes he has had problems in the past but if he has agreed to play in the d-league that means that he has matured somewhat. His story is similar to Shawne Williams and they share the same name. All the signs are there for him to turn it around just like his name buddy. Sure Clyde's brain might explode from 2 players with the same name but it's all for the benefit of the team.
For PG:
Aaron Miles, Reno Bighorns, 6'1" 180 lbs.
Summary of stats 15.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 8.8 apg, 2.5 spg, 2.65 TOpg(detailed in link below)
I have a cousin that lives in Reno and he goes to the games. According to him Miles is a very smart play-making point guard. He says that he makes all the smart plays evidenced by his decent assist to turnover ratio. He also went to Kansas so he comes from a very good program.
Antonio Daniels, Texas Legends, 6'4" 195 lbs.
Summary of stats 17.0 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 8.2 apg, 1.2 spg, 2.2 TOpg(detailed in link below)
Yes this is the Antonio Daniels that you think it is(for those of you who don't know, he played for the Spurs in his prime years). He is a veteran player that has had success in the NBA. I say he is a better option that Miles and will probably be more beneficial than Roger Mason Jr. even if he does replace him as a bench warmer.(I hear he leaves the perfect amount of heat and groove to the seat he sits in. That's right Roger you can't even bench warm decently.)
Just My 2 cents on how we can improve the team. Take care folks and GO KNICKS.
