because for the past 10 or so years, trades are ALL we had to look forward to or get excited about. year after year of losing... waiting for trade deadline deals... summer time swaps... mid or end of season call ups or waiver wire pick ups... we'd root for trades, not for wins, because wins became such a rarity.
we'd gotten addicted to HOPING for the changes that might break our teams long-lasting habit of losing... which is why now, even while we're winning and our collective hopes have risen to almost combustible levels... we can't stop tinkering or chemistry set experimenting with both reasonable and ludicrous trades scenarios.
over the past 10 or so years, there was no winning to root for, nor were there really all that many guys we liked enough to root for (with a few obvious exceptions)... so we rooted, and waited, and begged for trades.
so for this post, i'm wondering 2 things:
1) who are the guys that over the recent losing years, we really rooted for as knicks?... and
2) what are the trades that excited you most... and than disappointed you most?
