pre-pregame recon / just can't take the wait thread

the season is certainly taking its merry old time. happy go lucky ass season! if you can't wait, same as me, this thread is just a totally open thing to talk about what you expect to see on sunday. whether you want to predict shumpert going for 18/8/8 with 6 steals and a block or carmelo starts the year dropping 42 on boston's feeble old heads and still making time to get 13 assists.

or if you feel the need to ridicule paul pierce for being a lame drama queen- who is obviously going to play. i mean trust me, i know heel injuries are awful, i had two bruised heels once and could barely walk for almost four months. but he's a faker- needing to paint himself as this all mighty heroic figure as often as he can. or if you want to criticize rondo and garnett for being unbendingly obnoxious. just leave ray allen out of it. he's a cool guy.

whatever it is you wan to talk about. let's rap, man. i'll start it off though.

knicks win 105-97.

carmelo gets 28 points, 12 bounds, 7 assists

amar'e gets 22, 9 and 4 blocks

bison gets 14, 13 and 2 blocks

landry gets 15, 8

toney gets 18, 4, 4 and 3 steals

shumpert gets 53, 17, 11 with 31 steals and 15 blocks.

the rest of the team does the rest of the stuff.

i love everybody, ~~besides dziedzic~~, even boston fans! thank hashem for the season! i just can't wait man. its so so so so so very very very close! many thanks to seth for always being there, gian for the crazy in depth intellect, osborn for his knowledge and passion! you guys have gotten us through the hard times! i hope you feel rewarded by a growing and passionate interweb community. i know your insights have been and will continue to be an infinite gladness in my basketball-crazed life.

and lastly, to help give back in any way i can possibly figure out- i hear that linking live streams to the games can get the site in some hot water. since i very much don't want that to happen, here is a list of american serial killers. i would be delighted if we took it as a serious offense any time someone tried to spoil our sethly, gianian or osborn joys. and politely remind the offenders not to ask for live streams. i'll follow posting and toasting anywhere, but i like it right here where i think it belongs!

It's finally here!

And Carmelo probably doesn’t get a triple double today, those will start coming later in the season. But I’m more excited to see what our defense can do today, I’m really pumped about that.

And of course Pierce will play, no doubt about that.

Everyone on the knicks gets 100 points quintuplet triple doubles and the 1 point comes off of a ray allen foul shot which came from shump tripped him and unfortunately the refs saw it after the game every celtic will have mri’s on there ankles cause they’ve been broken by every knick player on the roster. (oh and KG will have a MRI on his head after shump does a _60 front flip windmill tomahawk on his forehead it will be epic.)

I most want to see

…if Shumpert can stay in front of Rhondo or keep Ray Allen in check.
…if Rhondo keeps killing us on drives to the basket or will Chandler end that once and for all
…if the MV3 are better than the Big3 plus 1.
