Spin Lin Now

After two games I am ready to push the panic button. This team desperately needs a real playmaker and it is painfully obvious that the Tony Douglas as Point Guard Experiment is a failure. TD does not possess the point guard gene. I think this role may be screwing up the good parts of his game, which are scoring and defense.

Bibby, while a somewhat enthusiastic defender and decent passer, cannot stay in front of anyone. I doubt if he is the answer. I think it makes sense to give Lin some spin now. Apparently he is good at defense and a natural point guard. As a Harvard graduate, I think he is up to the task of figuring out where and when Amar'e and Melo and his other team mates would like to receive their basketballs.

Lin has got some tools. How much worse could it get than TD's performance in the Golden State game? I see very little downside in letting Lin play big minutes now and seeing what he can do.
