With the new rumors of the Lakers being interested in both CP3 and Howard is it time to change our plans. It is obvious that were holding out for Paul or Howard but the Lakers sure do have a lot more to offer then we do. This is going to be a huge problem because more likely then not neither NO or ORL want to get "Lebron'd" here. The question is do we abandon hope for these guys as sad as that sounds and make a serious play at either Nene, Chandler or Gasol and settle our interior play......Unlesssssss

Mr. Melo can call his buddy CP3 and see if he can guarantee that he won't sign an extension with any one else. I know this is the opposite of everything we are trying to accomplish trying to get our big 3 but this would be a shame if we loose out on both those guys and don't make a play for anyone else. Signing one of these centers and then picking up some role players could transform our team and take us to the next level. A lineup of Billups, Landry, Melo, STAT and Nene/Chandler/Gasol would be real nice. With DWTDD, Walker, Shump and resigning Extra E on the bench thats a pretty solid group.

And don't forget about Steve Nash in a deadline deal to give us a little oomph down the stretch (just saying). This is all just my backup plan that i thought up at 3:30.
