First a few "rational" assumptions:

Boston's alleged CP3 trade offer of Rondo, Green and 2 first round picks is more attractive than NY's combo of Billiups, Shumpty and no picks - doesn't look likely that N.O. will trade Chris Paul to NY

CP3 isn't taking a massively inferior contract to play in NY at season's end - seems unlikely (no not impossible) that he would sign here in the off season, if NY doesn't have his Bird rights

NY currently appears to be focused on offering only one year deals.

Next summer's FA class is huge.

Since we lost the communicative and fan friendly Donnie Walsh there is an info void.

What is the NY Knick's plan for this season beyond the CP3 hail Mary? Chauncey, Jefferies, Turiaf, Alex Ajinca?
