Around SBN: Stan Van Gundy Fired As Head Coach Of The Magic

An ode to lost Knicks.

Assuming this trade goes down, we just lost Gallo, Ill Wil, and Felton (and Mozzie and AR). I wanted to make up a quick post thanking them for what they've done.

Star-divide

To Danilo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler: Thanks for toiling through horrible years with this franchise at the beginning of two bright careers. I wish you both could've been here to reach the playoffs with the 'Bockers, but I appreciate all you've given us nonetheless. Good luck with Denver (or God forbid, the Nets), and I hope you both do splendidly.

To Raymond Felton: Thanks for helping STAT revive this franchise. I'm sad to see you go, and wish you luck with your career as well.

To Timofey Mozgov and Anthony Randolph: Thank you, Mozzie, for contributing these past two weeks. I know you'll be a great Center some day. And thank you, AR, for being you. I hope Minnesota is the place where you finally live up to your potential.

I hope you all join me in these sentiments.

"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."

Just hit me that I didn't mention AR or Curry.

I’ll update it to thank AR, but Curry… no thanks.

Daaym.

Sad to see gallo and wilson miss the playoffs. THey’ve worked so hard to bring a playoff birth to NY. And to experience it here at MSG would have been a great farewell.

I had to pour some drank on the street for these guys.

I hope they remain in Denver and they can remain a playoff team there so those guys get playoff reps. They deserve it.

"The biggest thing we talked about is Going Forward. Like I said, the Giants are going to be at the Meadowlands at 4:15 on Sunday afternoon. We’ve got to get ready for them. So what we need to do is learn from what happened in the past and Go Forward, starting this morning with our meetings, our walk-throughs and our practice."

The guys we lost are most definitely some of the most likeable players we have ever had

unfortunately likeable is not the difference between 500 and championships.

Thank you Will and Gallo for your years of hard work getting us to the position we are at now you will not be forgotten.

Thank you Ray and Timo for making us respectable again this season.

Dear Cock,

You were the star on a starless team for too many years. Lee does not count. Just saying.
In a way, you are still helping us. The souless man that is the Knick owner, has traded your soul to better improve our team. We will miss your soul. Come back someday. And if we meet in the championships, I wish you a forty point game! (But that the nuggets lose).

Felton
You were a beast earlier in the season. Not so much lately. But its cool. We still love you. Maybe in Denver you will learn to take better shot selection. You and Nene will be scoring the place up. Peace.

Chandler
I’ve probably trashed you all season. But lately you’ve shown some good games. I wish you luck in later years (hopefully not with the Nets).

Mosgov
You I will miss the most. I enjoyed rooting for you more than anyone else. Your name kind of just rolls of the tounge. MOOOOSSSS-GOOOOV. Timofey is a pretty kickass name too. You were a suprise too, which made you the underdog. And who doesn’t like rooting fro the underdog? Go be russian my friend.

AR
meh

You guys made us good. Better than we had been for awhile. Now, with the trading of your souls, you have made us great.
