Jerome Jordan In Turkey
I know, that sounds like the biggest Thanksgiving surprise imaginable. But no, I'm talking about the country not the savory main course, and I'm talking about the guy whose name perfectly describes him as a cross between Michael Jordan and Jerome James. There's gotta be a term for that - It's something between an anomonopaea and a palindrome.
Anyway, I looked up his Euro stats:
http://www.eurobasket.com/player.asp?Cntry=SRB&PlayerID=105287
And did some number crunching (which wasn't easy, lemme tell ya) and according to this, the guy's shooting 72% from the floor over 34 games. Nice.
His shooting percentage from the free throw line is less, but still a somewhat respectable 69%.
Rebounding? Averages out to about 6.9 per 30 minutes. Not great, but I think perhaps a bit above Timo level? I didn't check Timo's last Euro stats, but c'mon people, I'm tired. And lazy.
Anyway, he blocks about a shot every other game. But you know, the guy may be useful in some way. I look forward to geeking out about the guy only to have him traded at the deadline for some superstar guy.
Also, his player ID on this website is 105287. Wouldn't that be cool if that ended up being his uniform number?

Wow
my half -assed post is now doublecheeked! Thanks!
Sad to see that JJ’s rebounding seems more lackluster than Mozzie’s. But ya gotta love that shooting percentage, eh?
JJ needs to go to the Oakley school of rebounding.
In Donnie we trust.

Yeah no joke
For as lost as he looked in summer league I’ll take any sign of progress, especially 3/4s of his shots going in
I personally watched 2 of his games b/c
he played against the turkish team I support. He looked a lot more polished than when he was in the summer league. His interior d and shot blocking were good but his post game was quite excellent. If the Knicks can bring him over now he could be our new Mosgov.
although he doesn't quite have the range of Mosgov
but from what i have seen, he has much better post moves. Also he is not as fleet footed as Mosgov. Timofey moved pretty quick for a 7 footer
