A 3 AM rant by a college student

After writing the Landriest post of all time, here are some random thoughts.

I felt myself flying off the handle after Friday's game.  I could feel the contempt for Melo welling within me until it bubbled over into a session of yelling at my computer screen and pounding my desk after he missed his one shot (free throw) at redemption.  I was far from the biggest fan of this trade and while my fears about Chauncey being ineffective in our offense have, for now, been quelled, everything I said about rebounding and defense has been confirmed.  Most terrifying of all is the lack of manuverability we will have to build this team, especially with the uncertain future of the CBA.  As much as I am still worried, reflection and thought about the trade has made me yet again come somewhere in the middle of the two extremes.  I do not think that we are immediately an elite team, but I do not think that we will fall apart.  We have a lot to be happy with on this roster, and just having more wins than losses makes me happy.  I find myself very excited for the game against the Heat, and who knows, maybe we can find an impact player (Earl Barron?) to solve some of our problems in season.  The Nuggets are now my number 2 team, and the New York "Nuggets" will keep a special place in my heart, but we can't go backwards.  Whatever I think of the move, I can just hope it turns out well.  Let's go Knicks!
