Am I the only one?

What's happening y'all. Let me preface this by saying that I know how talented and brilliant a player Chris Paul is. He is one of the most efficient offensive players in the game, plays great D, and can distribute the rock with the best of 'em. That being said, I have never liked him as a player. Of the many times I have watched him over the years, he has seemed listless and nonchalant in a large portion of those games. He often appears gun shy and will defer to his infinitely inferior teammates. To use tonight's game as a microcosm, he was outscored by Roger Mason Jr. Anyone who saw that coming is the reincarnate of Nostradamus. I don't understand how the leader of a playoff team can come into New York and simply not try.

Am I missing something here? He is widely considered the best point man in the league, but it seems he cannot stay motivated to give effort even when he is on an overachieving playoff team. I am not sure if this is the guy I want running the show at the garden. I would much rather have Billups mentor and mold our TD, who gives 100% every second he is on the floor, and spend our money on some big men rather than simply sign CP3. Am I the only one who thinks this? Will coming to New York perhaps kick CP3 into gear, and snap him out of the funk he has been in? Is he just that desperate to leave New Orleans? Am I asking too many questions, and this post is entirely idiotic? I'd love to hear your opinions.
