the Knicks are professionals. if you’re saying Garnett’s caricatured Adidas-commercial “toughness” is the reason we should fear the Celts, then… no.
Garnett will do a better job on Amare, but he’ll also be way easier to guard.

on the one hand, chris Bosh has never done jack shit in the playoffs.
On the other hand, Kevin Garnett is realllyyy starting to show his age. His D is still good, but a player as fast and athletic as Amar’e will just burn him consistently.

but more confident against Bosh than KG, to be honest.

Bosh is way harder to guard offensively
especially if you have to commit to Wade and LeBron. as far as which team is easier to defend, it’s really not close. the Heat have underachieved all season and are really built for the playoffs. they’re probably the best team in the NBA.

I am definitely afraid of the Heat come playoff time. I think they have the potential to embarrass teams if they get the transition game going. Lebron and Wade are both freaking freight trains when that happens.

I'm going to give a lot of credit to Indiana just sucking there

They were down by 6 for basically the entire 4th Q
based on semi-defense and overall suck by the Pacers offense. Knicks decided that 6pts = 2 3pters, and the offense centered around as such.

That wasn't as bad as the post trade losing streak.
The post trade slide was scarier because we had gone all in. If Amare and Melo didn’t work, we had no back up plan.
Also, there was so much arguing and negativity on these threads which made it less fun.

I agree with your points about going all in for melo
but it was pretty bad when we came off the summer of lebron – with our superstar of amare – and it was looking like we were going to be the same as in previous losing seasons. in a sense we had gone all in (even though it was really the only smart move) by tearing apart the roster for two years for the 2010 free agency season.
Geez... The boxscore is ridiculous.
We lost in practically every category except for points scored.

2 out of 3 SB wins and just 3 SB's alone says I feel like a winner
But right now, all I care about is seeing some of tonight’s clutchness rub off on the next two games
but the thing is. ben did not lead them to any of those SB or SB wins
he had a great team behind him.
there were and still are parts during each season that eli carries the team

You can compare apples to oranges, each team had their deficiencies
In the Steelers case, it’s an awful o-line decimated by injuries which has lead to a very average running game and poor pass protection. It is Ben’s creativity and ability to keep plays alive that kept drives alive. So, very much Ben has carried the O as well. Just like we would have to watch Eli to really know the quality of the quarterback, you are grossly misinformed by saying Ben did not lead them to any of those SB’s/wins. Holmes had great hands in catching that one SB winning pass, but it was a great pass by Ben for him to get to make that catch.

we had just as many if not more injuries,
i watch football religously. and whenever the steelers are on i watch them. to me Eli has done way more imppresive things. this is not to say ben is not good. but from a QB standpoint (not stats, or wins) Eli is the better all-around player, on and (deffintley) off the feild.
ben and rivers are good, but neither of them are better than eli. if you do not believe me now. you will see in a few years,
both ben and rivers have reached there ceiling. eli isn’t half way there yet. the best of eli is yet to come.
(oh and if you wanna look at stats, eli is the only (or one of the only) Qb’s to throw for 3000 yards and 20 TDs every year he’s started)

Ben has not even come close to his ceiling
He has never, not once, played behind a top 20 OL and is still improving with his check down game and his short throw accuarcy. When we get a top 20 OL or possibly a top 10 OL (if we get Colon back and no one gets hurt) then you will see just how good Ben is.

Right now Ben and Rivers are better than Eli. But we’ll just go back and forth here so I’ll be happy with Ben as my QB and you be happy with Eli as yours.
