Well, that was the one to win, and the Knicks let it slip away. An excellent first half on both ends put New York up 12 at halftime, but as expected, they fell off considerably in the latter two quarters. After a miserable third quarter, Amar'e Stoudemire's dominant fourth and a big shot from Toney Douglas had the Knicks in a position to win, but it wasn't in the cards. Carmelo Anthony, who was dreadful in the second half, committed a charge and missed the potential game-winner in the final minute, while Stoudemire didn't get his touches down the stretch. Chauncey Billups went down with some sort of leg injury in the fourth.
