D'antoni's Time Out Usage

Stepping away from the bigger picture of D'Antoni's player usage in this game (because that's more of an offseason discussion to me since it will lead to "Fire him!" "No!" arguments), I'm getting really concerned about his time-outs stripping us of the ability to get a last-second shot off to win the game. We saw that today, in Game 2--his time-out with 19 seconds left, after Boston called their time-out, left us in really bad position. We had 2 time-outs left, he burns one for no good reason. So then we call our last after KG scores, and then when JJ fails to catch the ball, we're out of time-outs after West's free throws. So Billy Walker has to chuck it full court, instead of getting a decent look from a front-court inbounds play.

In game 1, he called 2 time-outs in the last minute. One was with 50 seconds left (tie game, the possession of the TD 3), and the other was shortly before the Melo phantom foul. I thought the one before Melo was a bad decision--again, left us with 0 end-game time-outs, and the play was essentially gonna be "clear out for melo", which you don't need the ball in the front-court to start.

Also, compared to Doc Rivers, I don't think that the plays out of time-outs are well done. Can't remember ever thinking, "damn, that was a good play." It seems like other teams are coming out of time-outs with stuff, and he's just like, "eh, get it to a good player." Anyone have thoughts? Agree? Disagree? Have an in with the Knicks so they'll hire me to be their clock management coach (a la Herm Edwards?) Shit, I'd pay them to let me fill that role. It'll save on my heart medication, long-term...
