After game 1, I was pissed for hours. After this one, I was pissed for just a second.

And I'll tell you why: I actually think we're gonna take this series, and I'm 100% serious. In my eyes, two players played well tonight: Melo and JJ. Remember when Chauncey said that Melo is the best player in the league when he tries? He was right. Say all you want about LeBron carrying teams in the regular season; Melo just carried a team in the postseason, against the BOSTON CELTICS. I know it's just one game that we didn't even win, but NOBODY was gonna stop Melo tonight. No one. If he had even a little more help, this game was ours. I think this might've been a wakeup call for Melo. I think tonight is the night Carmelo Anthony finally put it all together. He took Roger Mason (he of the wide open airballed 3), Toney Douglas (who looked fairly lost out there), Bill Walker (who tried to play hero on every damn possession), and Jared Jeffries (who was amazing tonight but still, ya know, Jared Jeffries) and stared Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Jermaine O'Neal in the face. You know what he said? "Fuck you guys. I'm not gonna let you win this game so easily. I'm Carmelo Fucking Anthony, and I am the best player in the NBA." It was UNBELIEVABLE what he did tonight.

I'm going to be at the Garden on Friday for the game, and I know for a fact that the Knicks will win. I KNOW that Amar'e and Chauncey will play and play well. I KNOW that Melo will play well. I KNOW the Garden will be insane, and I sure as hell am gonna be a part of that. We WILL head back to Boston with the series tied 2-2, and we WILL win either game 5 or 7 in Boston as well as game 6 at home, and we WILL have the Heat scared shitless when we head to the second round.

I salute you, Carmelo Anthony, for proving that you were well worth what we gave up, even if only for a night. I have faith that the Knicks will win this series, and I think the players do too. The Celtics better not get too comfortable; I'd like some competition when we beat them 4 out of the next 5 games.
