I predict the following things will happen in the Knick Universe this off season. Let's see if they come true.
Prediction #1 Donnie Walsh returns to the Knicks having signed a brand new 2 year contract with an option for a 3rd year at Walsh's discretion.
Prediction #2: The Knicks will hire Rick Adelman. Hold on folks, don't pop the champagne yet. Adelman will be hired as an assistant to D'Antoni. Adelman will be responsibile for defense and will assist in late game strategy.
Prediction #3: Chris Mullin will be hired as General manager of the Knicks. he will assist Donnie with day to day operations.
Prediction #4: With the 17th Pick in the NBA draft the New York Knicks will select JuJuan Johnson 6'10 Power forward from Purdue. The Knicks will also purchase the rights of Donatas Montiejunas 7'0 of Lithuania presently playing for Benneton Treviso with the 39th pick. Donatas will stay in Italy however to continue to work on his game.
Prediction #5: Mike D'Antoni will be given a 2 year contract extension in return for agreeing to hire a defensive assistant.
Prediction # 6: Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire, and Chauncey Billups will host a free agent summit. Attendees will include Grant Hill, Vince Carter, Tracy McGrady, Tayshaun Prince, Michael Redd, Tyson Chandler, Samuel Dalembert, Kenyon Martin and Jason Kidd. The Summit will take place at a NYC night club and the biggest stir will be caused when Chris Paul is seen leaving through a back entrance. New Orleans will file tampering charges with the league, and Stern will poo poo it stating that the league cannot monitor a party between players.
So there you have it.
