My First MSG Playoff Experience
So although we are now done, I thought I would share my first ever Garden playoff experience. I live upstate, near Albany, and don't make alot of money, so i have only been to the Garden once in my life for regular season game back in march, 2009. So the fact that i was able to aquire tickets was awesome for me. Anyway, my girlfriend and I took amtrak from Albany all the way to Penn Station. Best choise i made right there. Got there around 2:30. We had to walk a block because of the construction on the Garden, but the weather was good so it was ok. Got in fast, and got seated pretty easy. We were in section 307 row A. Best seats I have ever had for a professional sports event. Obviously, the game didnt go as planned, but it was awesome to be there and actually see playoff basketball. For the record i started following the Knicks around 2004, so Im not exactly a bandwagon fan. Ive been through names like Malik Rose, Shandon Anderson, Tim Thomas, etc. so I havent had good NY bball til now. Throughout the game, my only issue was with some of the fans in my section, mid way through the second half, calling Amare weak, lousy leader, soft. My answer is this; this guy was out there, with an injury that should take 3 WEEKS to heal, and he's out there after 3 DAYS!!! After the way he has played this year, and all he has done for this city, can we LAY OFF. Just wanted to throw that out there. Anyway, Im glad I at least got to see them make a fight of it in the second half, instead of roll over and die, like Friday night. Great time all around. Oh also got two Amare jerseys from Garden store @ half, so not a totally lost trip. For my first ever Garden playoff trip, i have to say it was an awesome time, and i hope to be back for many more trips like it to come.

I love Row A. If I go I usually sit in the 300s or 400s and Row A is the way to go. I probably can’t afford to go to a game anymore now that we have two superstars.
NY fans are the most critical of their sports teams, whether they’re knowledgeable or not. Those guys sound like douche bags. I was the most skeptical of signing Amare but he has definitely won me over as a capable player and leader.
