Around SBN: Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant's Post-Game 5 Outfits

@chadfordinsider Morehead States Kenneth Faried measured just 6' 6" in socks and 6' 7.5" in shoes. However he has a 7' wingspan and a 9' standing reach.

My thoughts:

Good news: The dude has an amazing wingspan (not just for his height). We know he's a great rebounder and this has to be a reason why.

Bad news: He's the height of SG/SF. At the same time, we've seen many good short big men in the NBA who compensate for their lack of height with incredible strength, athleticism, timing and IQ.

I decided to make it a fanshot because I put in the comments of the Faried know the prospect fanpost, but figure it deserved a fanshot too

With so many Knicks fans (and Walsh) in love with this guy, I thought it was interesting to see he is rly short but has amazingly long arms. Also should help that he’s got good timing and can jump.

Could he be the next Chuck Hayes, DeJaun Blair, Charles Barkley, etc.

Hayes, Blair and Barkley all either have huge asses and/or are over 260lbs

Faried at most is about 225.

He’s probably more like a Gerald Wallace, which isn’t a bad thing at all.

Wallace has unreal athleticism

Faried is very athletic, but Wallace is on another level

"TV pays the bills in the NBA, but it doesn't do the game justice. I wish anyone who doubts the effort level could sit courtside one time, because they would be blown away by the ferocity. The players are just so good, so fluid, it looks effortless on TV." - Bill Walton

I don't think he's tremendously strong

I would say he’s a non-contact, slithery type of athletic rebounder a la Marcus Camby. It’s a tough call – the guy could be useful but may have trouble banging with NBA power forwards.

I like this guy alot

idk he just seems like a NY Knick type of guy
apparently Donnie loves him so I wouldnt mind getting Faried at all
personaly I think we should take Selby, Darius Morris, Charles Jenkins or if Jimmer is there take him
we missed out on serious point guards in 2009, lets not make the same mistake again
we might be better off going and grabbing a center in free agency, no big guy this draft can be the center we need

Bruce Carter+Sean Lee=BRUCE LEE!!!!

Faried would be my pick if he's still available

Between him, Landy, Turiaf (when fit) and DWTDD we have a good core of guys prepared to do the dirty work needed for “the big three” to shine.

Rebounding was our biggest problem last year, this guy helps us solve that
