Know Your Ironically Named Prospect
If the Knicks were smart (and if they extend Walsh, they're smart enough) they will try to buy one or two second rounders this year. I think it's particularly smart because although there isn't much in the way of bonafide point guard prospects in this draft, it makes sense to bring in a couple of possible sleepers.
Here's one:

Although they will have to make his contract dependent on changing his name. All you people who are afraid he's coming back - what if he did?
Anyway, this guy is Nate Robinson short. But he's not as well regarded as Nate was, because Nate could jump out of the gym. It makes sense in a way that if you're going to draft a short guy, he should be able to jump high. But I think that in an actual game, leaping ability doesn't amount to much. Yes, if you can leap, you can get up and shoot over a taller defender, or dunk. But honestly, are we really looking for someone that can create his own shot? I don't think so. I think we're looking for guys that can pass the ball, provide on court leadership and hit open shots. Lateral quickness and craftiness is much more important. Nate won 3 dunk contests and that's about it. I think this guy could be what we wanted Nate to be - a short, quick effective point guard.
But of course, I haven't seen him play. So please, those that have, weigh in. No way this guy is going at 17, but if the Knicks pick up a second rounder, might he be worth a pick?

There's a good chance he's undrafted
But I mentioned him earlier and he seems like a good second round or undrafted pick up. Along with Fab Melo, if he declared.
i've seen this guy play a few times
at first was not so impressed… but a year or two later, he seemed to really get how to control the game. he had a tendency to hold the ball and try to be too flashy from time to time. real small, real strong, real athletic. could turn out to be good, but i dunno.

I am not gonna lie
I don’t think I can handle the name.
I think it was Bobby V who said: "You are never as good as you are when you are at your best, and you are not as bad as when you are at your worst."
I coach a youth travel basketball team,
and we have this tough as nails, great defensive point guard with great on the court leadership skills. his name?

tough luck
Victory goes to the courageous!!
Not a bad thing...IT was all of the above as well....HOF'er
just sucked as a GM and coaching……
Face the fear
It could be just the little ironic twist that leads us to the promised land.
Though – truth be told, I’d rather have Jackson the point guard lead us there (Reggie). Even give him #13. Then everything would make sense to me.
He would a good 2nd round/free agent pick up

He is a late second rounder at best most likely
Unless he really shows some things in work outs that he didn’t show in games at Washington.
I've seen him play a few times
and came away unimpressed. Not a legitimate prospect in my mind
"Not a legitimate prospect"?
Why not? Ran the point for a strong Washington team that two years in a row has played its best ball on the big stage. I’d say the PG is the biggest reason for that.
I’m a Zona fan, so I’ve seen him play enough (unfortunately). Dude takes and makes big shots, but also was slowly becoming more of a pure point as the year went on (after Washington lost Gaddy).
I’d be REAL happy picking him up in the 2nd round. Smart kid, hard worker, strong, never intimidated, still improving jumper, clutch player and still learning the point (while seeing success at the position, especially in the post-season).
Sign me up. Especially at a position of need for us.
I hope he's just like his namesake
on the court, that is.
not off of it
