amare, in an interview today, stated that his back remains an issue... which obviously raises all kinds of questions and concerns.

obviously amare's health is and will always be a question mark. he came to us partially because we were one of the only (if not the only) teams willing to sign him long term, to an uninsured deal.

as much as none of us want to think of the possibility of not having him out there every night, i'm guessing management is weighing all options and preparing for those days or weeks where amare misses games to heal injury, or just fatigue.

my question to you all... does knowing amare is healing slowly from this back injury, and takes the beatings he does playing the 5 and the bigger 4's, affect how you draft and who you sign?

do you now go for a big, even though a more "talented" small is available at the 17?

do you stay away from the offensively challenged bigs (biyombo, faried, singleton) and lean towards the more defensively challenged, offensively proficient bigs (montiejunas, vucevic, harper, benson, tyler, jujuan)?

or do you ignore the possibility of amare's absence altogether and proceed business as usual?

personally, i think it's something we need to be smart about... 'cause a lineup without amare, with our backup bigs, is a scary thought.
