Grass is not always greener on the other side.
A lot of people want D'antoni gone, and implement a more defensive oriented system. Likely, they'll get their wish soon. D'Antoni will be gone soon. As currently constructed, Knicks are nowhere near championship level. However, with D'Antoni Knicks will be knocking on the door. Without him, they could be the Phoenix Sun under Terry Porter. Trying to be a defensive team but doesn't have the personnel. So in a sense, with out D'Antoni I think you are looking to be a 5th seed in the East, and be first round out again. The only problem is that Dolan is now expecting Championship.
Dolan doesn't believe Walsh be able to build a championship team and that's why he let Dolan goes. He is right on that. The problem is that, neither can him nor the next president. With Walsh, there is will be order. With Dolan is running the show, chaotic all over again.
I have been blaming Isiah all these years, but I think I finally understand now. It was Isiah's fault. It's all Dolan. Knicks is Dolan's toy. All the move that Isiah made, those might as well be Dolan's ideas. Everyone been saying Melo deal was the result of Isiah pulling string. For all I can tell, its' Dolan that played fantasy basketball. Dolan wants YES men that execute his plan. Too bad, his plan is not that great.
Anyway, Knicks is in deep trouble, all over again. I have written a piece on this. If you have time do check it out. It's been a very sad day for me. I can Knicks future n ow and it's not very bright.
