REPORT: Jerome Jordan signs with Slovenian team (w an out clause)

With the Knicks’ dearth at center, Jordan is penciled in on the club’s roster for next season. But Jordan wants to get more playing time in case the lockout is extended. The lockout prevented Jordan from playing in the summer league. As Jordan negotiated with European teams, the Knicks were fearful he would sign a pact with no out clause, which could have prevented him from joining the Knicks this season.

Personally I love this. He's one of the few Knicks I want to see go overseas (with Melo, Amar'e and Chauncey being the last 3). More playing should help him continue to improve and get him in a better position to play for us when he comes over (which apparently is when the lockout is over). Hopefully, this actually doesn't matter and we get a new CBA before missing any games, but that doesn't look realistic anymore. Either way, with an out clause, he should be an official NY Knick whenever the season starts. Personally, I have high hopes for Jerome to come in and play meaningful minutes as a rookie.

Cool
Krka plays in the Adriatic League, as does Hemofarm. The level of competition is actually high, and the initial culture shocks and basketball adjustments are a thing of the past, so he should be able to keep working on his game
Congrats on winning your first NBA championship, Peja Stojakovic!
also Goran Dragic's brother plays SF for Krka
and his name is… Zoran Dragic
their parents are winners.
Congrats on winning your first NBA championship, Peja Stojakovic!
Goran and Zoran?
"Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
LET'S GO RANGERS!!!
well at least he has somewhere to play
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
i'd be more ok with chauncey playing overseas than landry fields
or even carmelo and amar’e. and i’ll tell you why…
chauncey is the kinda guy that will know how to use the league to stay in game shape without going overboard and getting hurt. at the same time, he won’t be the kind of guy to get upset about not playing the primary star role. and all in all, i think he could benefit from continuing to play competitive basketball. because ultimately, chauncey is not going to stay out there. and thats a given. so if he wanted to go play for a stetch over there, cool. do it.
carmelo and amar’e too, if they play overseas, its for a chance to make a couple bucks, play competitively, and be in shape for when the lockout ends.
landry fields however, would probably go to europe or somehwere, and instantly fit right in, and gain noteriety, and also he would probably enjoy himself, and suddenly we’d hear that he ends up signing for the rest of the season, or a 2 year deal with an option for a third or some crazy shit. and then we’d see him again when he turned 30 making his triumphant return to the nba after taking europe by storm, force and landriness. no, no, no. this, my friends, would be bad.
and thusly, landry is the one i want to go to europe the leastest.

just chiming in..
1)happy JJ gets the “out” clause.
2)Continues to develop his game/body
3)Plays competitive basketball. Adriatic League is top notch and Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia are 3 of the most competitive countries in international basketball.
4)Would like to see Shrimpfest follow suit.
But he was gonna be our starting center!
Looks like we’ll just have to rely on that guy we drafted whose name I already forget.

Jorts is our savior
he works hard, he has a lunch pail mentality, he’ll lay out anyone who crosses his path, he’s a selfless team player with a high basketball IQ, he’s white
I don’t like being that guy but why isn’t Josh Harrelson “impressive combine athlete, inconsistent production in a weak conference, significant character and coachability questions, should send his resume to Moldova”? Any guesses?
Congrats on winning your first NBA championship, Peja Stojakovic!

If you think Josh Harrelson might be an OK player, then why are you such a gigantic racist?
Congrats on winning your first NBA championship, Peja Stojakovic!
Not takin the piss or anything, but I still have no idea wtf you're talking about.
Or to who. What the heck is going on?
If you think I'm talking to you, then you're probably a racist.
Congrats on winning your first NBA championship, Peja Stojakovic!
^ This statement is not addressed to anyone in particular
Congrats on winning your first NBA championship, Peja Stojakovic!
Oh okay. That was pretty random.
Are you white? Black? Just for my own curiosity. You bring that shit up ALL THE TIME.
Random doesn't even begin to describe it
and the follow ups were even stranger.

Whoops!
Excuse me…Sir? You dropped your race card! Shall I pick that up for you? Your like Shinobi with Shurikens the way you whip that fucker around. Provocation be damned. “Hey, mention of a marginally skilled white boy. Here’s a good spot for a race card – if you like him you’re a racist! Yeah, that works…” Whhhhhhip! Thunk! Seriously, though. Some folks are over exuberant in proclaiming him a steal, but shooting him down before he’s even played is silly also. I’d agree with you if you’d said, chances are, don’t hold your breath over this kid being special. But to whip out a statement like that? Are you really being serious? And before you say “If you think I’m talking to you….” to me, you might want to check my family tree. Unless your being funny, sarcastic or just trying to see how many chains you can pull, bad form dude.
I think he could become a fine end-of-bench journeyman kind of guy
and I trust Donnie’s judgment. at the same time, thinking of him diving for loose balls doesn’t bring me to orgasm
Congrats on winning your first NBA championship, Peja Stojakovic!

I kinda think you're being sarcastic...
but if you’re not, Jerome Jordan will come to the Knicks whenever the lockout is done.
Keep Our Fingers Cross
I hope that J.Jordan can give us double digit rebounding and protect the paint when he becomes a Knick.
Man will this open it up down low for Stoudemire and Anthony to dominate if he can do it.
J.Jordan get ready.
Only 6 players in the entire NBA averaged double digit rebounds...
think about that and what you just said
That said
Why don’t I hear any interest in Kris Humphries?

I doubt we can afford him
And I’m pretty sure NJ wants to keep him
don't ask Dizzy to think
he might have a stroke
