SPERO DEDES!!! Radio... Anyone?

Huge news, guys!!!

Well, huge news for me. I'm a big radio guy. It's my favorite form of media by far. I'm biased because I use to DJ (nothing fancy... It was 10 years ago...you've never heard of me).

But even if you've never worked in radio or TV, what Knick fan hasn't pretended to be Marv Albert and imitate his calls for a great moment from Knicks history, or invent a great moment that never happened. Heck, I pretend I'm Mike Breen all the time. "Starks for three... BANG!" ...see?

Jump like Gus Johnson jumped from MSG's negotiating table :(

I don't even know if anyone still listens to the radio (let me know in the comments if you do). But if you do, know this:

The Knicks have a NEW radio play-by-play man! His name is Spero Dedes. (Some one please spell that phonetically for me in the comments so I can pronounce it).

None of his live game calls on youtube would play (I think it's because of the lockout).

Stuff I know about him: He's from Jersey (I would make a joke, but Seth is from there and everything), and he used to do radio play by play for the Lakers (meh...).

My first reaction was: NOOOOOOOO!!! No one will ever replace my three heroes (Marv, Breen, and Gus).

But if Marv and Breen never moved over, then we never would've experienced the wonders of Gus (RUNNING JUMPER... OFF THE FRONT RIM AND IN!", so everything happens for a reason. I'm excited to listen to his first few games as our new play-by-play man.

Anyone know anything about this guy? Chime in in the comments.
