Weird to see Amare listed at 5....

im 50/50 on this
other people (i think Duhon and possibly TD) watched vids of the all mighty Steve Nash and it hasnt turned out so well. i hope, in Biddy’s case, that he doesnt want to so much be like Steve Nash but just learn where Amar’e likes the ball. Rubio is the only other “Nash Clone” i could possibly see panning out

I just took it to mean
that Baron understands that we need an uptempo, PnR-based offense rather than walk it up and hand it to Melo 20 feet from the basket.
Incredible how much better a player can become
by simply not playing huh?

Amar'e is regressin that bad??
i’ve missed the last 2 games (OKC & ’Lando) but was hoping for some leadership from him, a hero, a PB&J sammich… something

put it like this
he’s currently mired in the worst stretch of his entire career by far. trends come and go.
this is also the longest he’s ever gone without a solidly creative and heady point guard. trends come and go.

hopefully with Biddy he'll get it going
hurts to see him in this rut. its still relatively early in this season

i mean
amar’e is one of the best roll guys in the pick and roll since karl malone. name me five guys that are better.
and we haven’t been running pick and rolls for the guy. and to make matters worse- when we do run pick and rolls its with toney douglas, and it stinks.
can’t really run it with melo and amar’e because it doesn’t really create clear mismatches. it will get run with baron and amar’e tho. and then we’ll have two very solid pick and roll matchups in the starting five (with melo/chandler). if the fifth wheel can stretch the defense there, be it landry or toney, shumpert, whoever- then we’ll have something to build off, other than what melo creates.

all that, all that you said right there, right above me

Wanted to try and argue with Jorts at the #3 spot...
but couldn’t find a real reason to move anyone above him at this point. And THAT more than anything else explains our record and start to the season.
I think he's saying with all our off-season aspirations, a 2nd rounder should never have to be leaned on as much(thank god he's at least solidly productive on D).
That he is indicates a holey-er team than we initially thought.
Fish Fingers give me a break.
