Some Silver Lining- Deron Williams wants to be a Knick

"Williams has grown to enjoy living in New York and he is excited about the off-the-court business opportunities the city provides, so if Howard doesn't join him with the Nets, he would love to remain in New York and play for the Knicks, sources said. While no trade talks have taken place between the clubs, the Knicks could theoretically offer either Carmelo Anthony or Amare Stoudemire, thus giving the Nets a superstar to lead them to Brooklyn. "

Deron Williams does NOT want to play for the knicks!

He said this referring to joining the knicks…

its unlikely, its unlikely. Anything is possible, I guess. I might sign with the Timberwolves if I wanted to play with Kevin Love.
And Broussard probably just made that up! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtDuOWXKdPc

it just seems a little....

i dont know, why would you bother coming onto our blog and posting on fanposts just to say this, unless you were a little bit worried, a little bit in denial, and a little bit just hoping that if you say it, it’ll be true?
I’m not saying i agree or disagree with you, it’s just a little… you know

They can have Tyson Chandler and Shumpert and Fields and Douglas and Walker and Harrellson and Jordan and Lin and all of our picks for the next 5 years

And it would get us at least a few appearances in the Eastern Conference Finals and we can all be happy about our 5-6 year dynasty.

Amare and Chandler to Orlando

Shumpert, Ryan Anderson, Douglas, Fields, and maybe Jerome Jordan to the Nets

Deron Williams and Dwight Howard to the Knicks

Crazier trades have never happened

One team has never acquired 2 superstars in 1 deal

deron, stat and tyson...

is a far more balanced 3some… especially because stat becomes stat.

if not the nets, the clippers could use an upgrade at the 3, have trade chips, and it would finally pair up CP3 and melo (and give them a sick starting 5. i’d gladly take back mo williams, armon johnson, caron butler, a pick or 2 for melo and TD.

by bucketsncents on Jan 20, 2012 11:04 PM EST reply actions

Agreed.

And Melo would still be in NY where he wants to be.

Stat for Deron

Maybe Nets fans will be convinced they could steal knicks fan away if they had amare.

Y'know, we still got a point guard in waiting...show me the money!

Replace money with any shooting guard who knows where the basket is and can hit it for a full 4 quarters and spread the floor.

I'd definitely dump melo for deron

I don’t particularly like either, but I’m already sick of melo’s game.

I like Deron

Hell of a point guard, but I don’t trading for him is going to help things…

Deron Williams is not the guy for New York.

It would be a mistake.

He’s another Steve Francis.

"Madison Square Garden is the ultimate basketball stage. That's where I belong. That's where I live. That's the home of the New York Knicks." - Amar'e Stoudemire

Agree with You

D.Williams belongs in Sacramento with T.Evans. he lives in San Diego in the off season.
So with this said. The Knicks should trade Stoudemire home grown Florida boy back to Orlando for Howard. Orlando gets a star with a sign contract. The Knicks get Howard the defender in the league now without a sign contract. A little risk but here we go.

The Knicks get D.Howard the star of the team whom is the best defender. In order to win NBA Championships your best player has to be the best defender. Then we trade T.Chandler to Sacramento for D.Cousins, J.Ferdette and scape players whom balance out Chandler’s contract.
Now we have a frontline of D.Cousins/D.Howard/C.Anthony.
We then wait until FA to see if D.Williams follows D.Howard ror we just grab R.Felton also a FA.
Not a bad starting five of talent, defense and scoring.
PG/ D.Williams or R.Felton
SG/I.Shumpert
SF/C.Anthony
PF/D.Cousins
C/D.Howard
