I, FOR ONE, AM FED UP

I'M A TRUE FAN OF THE NEW YORK KNICKS. AND I EXPECT GREATNESS. INSTEAD OUR ALLEGED "SUPERSTARS" GIVE ME THIS:

WHAT

Star-divide

LOOK AT HOW OUR SELFISH "STAR" MELO KEEPS THE BALL AWAY FROM GRITTY ROLE PLAYERS LIKE TONEY DOUGLAS. THIS SELFISH PRIMA DONNA NEEDS TO UP HIS BASKETBALL IQ AND BE DIRT STRONG LIKE JORTS AND DAVID LEE!!!

YOU KNOW, I DON'T EVEN CARE, I'M NOT WASTING MY TIME. I'M DONE. I TOLD YOU SO. TIME TO GO SUPPORT BIG BLUE!!!

WOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

FIRE COUGHLIN!!! SHELI IS A SCRUB!!!

THE KNICKS CAN ONLY WIN IF OUR STARS WIN GAMES. MELO IS CARRYING THIS TEAM. SCRUBS LIKE TONEY DOUGLAS AND LANDRY FIELDS SHOULDN'T BE IN THE NBA!!!

TRADE MELO FOR DERON WILLIAMS

I AM SICK OF THIS "GET STARS" MENTALITY!!! WE NEED HARD WORKING ROLE PLAYERS WHO DO THE DIRTY WORK!!!

AND HAVE I MENTIONED MIKE 'ANTONI??? THE MAN ONLY KNOWS OFFENSE!!! FIRE 'ANTONI!!! I SAY WE HIRE TOM COUGHLIN TO WHIP THESE BOYS INTO SHAPE. THAT MAN DEFINES GRIT!!! GO BIG BLUE!!!

NOW IT'S TIME TO TRADE THIS SELFISH ASS AMARE WHO ONLY CAME HERE FOR THE $100M CONTRACT!!! I MISS THE PRE-MELO KNICKS, WE SHOULD'VE BUILT AROUND OUR STAR AVERAGING 26 PPG INSTEAD OF GETTING AN ISO SCORER!!!

THIS IS NEW YORK BASKETBALL!!! IF YOU BUILD IT, THEY WILL COME!!! WE SHOULD HAVE WAITED UNTIL 2013 FREE AGENCY AND SIGNED KEVIN LOVE OR BLAKE GRIFFIN, HARD WORKERS UNLIKE THAT STIFF AMARE!!!

WE NEED TO BUILD AROUND YOUNG TALENT LIKE MICHAEL PINEDA

I AM DONE WITH THIS TEAM. I'M A NUGGETS FAN FROM NOW ON. THEY PLAY BASKETBALL THE RIGHT WAY. WE SHOULD HAVE NEVER TRADED Z-BO AND CRAWFORD!!!

THE KNICKS SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO ME ALL ALONG!!! I TOLD YOU SO!!!

I EXPECT A CHAMPIONSHIP THIS SEASON, OR I AM FINISHED SUPPORTING THIS FRANCHISE

Muchos Recos Rooster.

Well done but that 1st pic REALLY IS one of my pet peeves. Then again, dudes gotta hit a shot to useful in the 4th…When you see that, why wouldn’t a guy like Landry up there not cut to the basket? Any way, nice…Dziedz wants his voice back

Hello, Melo is like a SUPERSTAR? Why pass to any of your wide fucking open teammates

You get mad paid to clank fallaway 20-foot jumpers over six outstretched arms while your team loses! Do your thing Melo! Haters gonna hate!

by flossy on Jan 22, 2012 10:42 AM EST up reply actions

Sorry, but I rec'd it cuz it is fucking funny even if he does probably mean it, I don't take it personal

But that 1st pic – gold. But I honest;y think it will get figured out/ironed out. Anyone who watches film can see that running the O properly was fun and effective.

Funny, I was the only one posting negative comments about letting Lee go, the trades for
McGrady and Melo, and the signing of Amare over Lee..

I was cursed at, belittlede, people questioned my basketball knowledge (dating back to
RichieGuerin and Johnny Green).

Later, people got so fed up with my negativity of these personnel moves, I was told to get
off this site.

Now everyone says they were against all these personnel moves all along.

Cheez!

As I have said before, Lee continues to excel whether his point guard is Duhon or nobody
currently at Golden State. People keep saying that if Amare had Felton back or Deron Williams
or Stevie Nash or Oscar Robertson or Bob Cousy he would be a better player. Put me alongside
an Oscar Robertson and i at 65 would look better.

by frankiec on Jan 22, 2012 12:29 PM EST reply actions

get real

the only one posting negative comments about letting lee go? thats ridiculous. there were entire months devoted to that topic. i wanted to keep him strictly for his passing ability!

but you’re not the even the only one posting negative comments about letting lee go. you’re just one of the only people that won’t get past it.

the holier than thou hindsight nonsense adds absolutely nothing to the ongoing dialogue, except “posting negative comments”. thats why people get on your case.

richie guerin be fuckin damned, old timer. your personal preference for lee over all players changes nothing about the 2012 knicks.

boy are you self-centered

I did the same and people always act like I’m saying ridiculous things. Then when I’m right I get no credit. But I still don’t bring up Lee every time because he’s probably overpaid at this point.

This whole false superstar thing is a very common fallacy. It can be seen it people like Jerry Stackhouse, Steve Francis, and to a lesser extent- Eddy Curry. Stopping ball movement, shooting inefficiently, having too many turnovers, and playing poor D are all usually ignored. PPG is king, and so are highlight reel moves. Limiting turnovers is probably the most ignored skill these days that’s so easy to quantify.

With no number 1 in 2012 or 2014, thist5eam is toast, and I FIRMLY
BELIEVE AMONG AMARE,MELO,AND DAVIS 2 out of 3 AND MAYBE ALL
3 WILL BE GONE BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF NEXT SEASON.

Finally, Fields @ 45.5 % fg % is so much better than the 32.3%, 38.4%,
40.4%, and 41.3% of Douglas, Shumptert, Amare, & Melo. Pass him the
ball and let him take an occasional shot already.

by stingy d on Jan 23, 2012 12:26 AM EST up reply actions

Fields can't shoot

His % is high because he only takes wide open shots near the basket. His jump shot isn’t ready.

by mindfeck on Jan 23, 2012 1:49 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah

We sure don’t want guys taking wide open shots near the basket. What kind of bullshit is that?

Awright - can we all pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease get off our high horses

I told you so … i knew this would happen … we’re all bleeding heart fans or we wouldn’t waste so much damn time writing on blogs about our team. So be nice to eachother or fuck off and if you think you know something more than anyone else, stuff it back and swallow it whole cuz at the end of the day people like to debate but don’t really care how smart your pompous ass is. It’s sports…you got a fifty fifty split on what the fuck can happen day in and out so unless you’re the one fixing the game…shut up. The end of they day if sports cared about us we’d be seeing royalties for just watching some of this absolute horseshit so chill out and have some damn respect for eachother and before you write something smart, remember, we’re all smarter than you

by Rorschach44 on Jan 22, 2012 3:39 PM EST reply actions

that picture of the tripple team is exaclty the issue with our team. It's not that Melo hogged the ball there

it’s look at who is left open, two stiffs of late who aim the ball rather than confidently stroke it. I can see why he feels like he has to shoot all the time, but that doesn’t mean the team should just stand and watch.

I get excited every time I see Stat set a pic for Melo, but Stat’s picks are weak and he’s drifting for the pop rather than go to the hoop.

Why is stat playing so weak lately?

And why does Chandler not ever expect the ball? I understand that he’s not a main Offensive threat, but his hands are worse than Jefferies at times ..

The refs are the reason we lost the Finals in 94...

by I Hate Olajuwon on Jan 22, 2012 9:01 PM EST reply actions

Pretty sure he backs off Chandler picks also late in games but spot on for our two shooters in that pick

Landry’s shooting seems to fade late in games and TD’s 2nd half was atrocious save one maybe 2 shots. But why couldn’t Landry just cut to the basket, he’s shown he’s got confidence in finishing and chances are he’d draw a foul at least. But then what do I know. Your right on the aiming too. Don’t know about TD, but definitely on Landry. But what makes me not opposed to passing it off anyway and letting him take the shot is getting these guys use to it, hopefully getting a rhythm for end of games, a confidence. What we’re doing isn’t working so if we’re gonna lose, I’d rather do it playing the offense correctly and hopefully having something to build on with everyone involved,, rather than blindly forcing the issue and hoping it all works out ok.

by screamedia on Jan 22, 2012 10:04 PM EST up reply actions

Just to touch on one thing:

Amare’s always set slip screens like that. It’s just these days the lane is so clogged whenever he looks to roll and/or the ballhandler never even looks up at him that his PnR numbers as the roll man are miniscule.

But I kinda wish Chandler would be more ready for the ball, too. I understand 95% of the time he’s running out there to set a pick and his hands are already down to protect the giblets, but so often his man assumes that’s what is happening too that he ends up wide open like 6 ft from the hoop. All he has to do is catch, step, and dunk/get fouled.

I dream of Eddy Curry feeding me fish sticks.

Look at it Dave. Look at it.

by GAx on Jan 23, 2012 7:49 PM EST up reply actions

with repetition

that’ll be all fixed up to the point of the defender having to guard for one or the other, and i think chandler has the wits to use the defender’s instincts against them.

@Rooster

Well shame on you for waking up about the Knicks.
You were the person whom chopped my head off about getting rid of D’Antoni and his coaching cast of clowns.
Now for the fact you are now a Nuggets fan. You better watch your back because I believe D’Antoni is going there next as coach once Karl is done/finish.

I a gald that you have woke finally and see my way about D’Antoni and his coaching cast of clowns.

This was classic

The wavering between calling Melo a star carrying the Knicks to a “so called star” with low basketball IQ put it over the top for me.

Ryan Miller was the true MVP. See my profile for rant.
