trade

This trade does not involve STAT or chandler and i feel can really help turn the Knicks around.
Knicks get -
D- WIll
OJ Mayo
Nets get-
Melo
DWTDD
Memphis gets-
*Either the Knicks or Nets would have to send the Grizz a draft pick or 2 or a decent expiring contract.
This trade frees us of Melo and gives us a true point guard and a true 3 pt shooting 2 guard. This trade seems great to me and actually plausible. What do you guys think?

Doesn't make any sense
the nets are giving up their two best players and a young starter for melo. Memphis is giving up virtually nothing and getting brook lopez. On top of that they have marc gasol. This wasn’t thought through very long huh?
uhh
1)Nets need a face of the franchise (melo) D will is gone, not getting howard.
-memphis has been trying to get rid of Oj forever and they were taking Josh Mcroberts at one point.
- replace Lopez then i don’t care
2) IDK if you know this but we haven’t really been good with Melo so its not working. Sub 500 record.
3) Your too easy
Melo is by far our best player
can we stop trying to trade him?
Now that Landry is Landry again, maybe we can become something once Baron is back.
Do the Shumpty Shump, come on and do the Shumpty Shump
Chandler is by far our best player. With 2 broken arms and a broken leg, Chandler would shoot 50% from the field and Melo would still shoot 39%. But in the real world, Chandler is shooting 70% FG and plays defense, and rebounds, and blocks shots.
Give me a holler AFTER you watch your 1st Knick game. Then you can voice an opinion.
I kno, I know Melo scores 25 pts and Chandler only scores like 10 pts. But Melo takes 50 shots, Chandler like 8 shots.
never
said anything bad about chandler? He’s been great.

Also I don't get where D-Will=Wins came from
That’s certainly not the case for the Nets
Do the Shumpty Shump, come on and do the Shumpty Shump
Why would Memphis trade their only offense off the bench for lopez when they are already paying another offensive-oriented 13 million a year?
Secondly, you ain’t trading Melo for Dwill.
Memphis has been trying to trade Mayo for two years
and actually traded him twice. Last year the trade got nixed when one of the guys involved failed a physical and this year his trade to the Pacers got nixed because the two GM’s apparently do not understand math. The teams didn’t come close enough on the salaries going back and forth. So mayo may be for sale. But Damion james and Brook Lopez make little sense for the Grizzlies and the Nets are already thin up front because Lopez is hurt, so trading him and getting back zero size doesn’t help them either.

with all due respect
but do you even follow the NBA? This doesn’t make sense for anyone to be honest. What would Memphis do with Brooke? But this team does need a point guard and I believe that could be the key for Amare, Carmelo and Tyson being able to play together. They need a point guard who knows how to run an offense, who can shoot when necessary but is a pure point guard.
Mayo!
I like it.

Better chance getting Melo for Gay and Mayo and then trying to sign Nash or Felton in the off season
MELO OVER DWILL
NEVER SHOULD A TEAM GIVE AWAY MELO FOR D-WILL, NEVER , NEVER THE KNICKS WILL GET A PG NEXT SEASON

THERE ARE GOING TO BE PG WHO WILL WANT TO PLAY IN NY WITH MELO, AMARE AND CHANDLER
by knicksgiantsmets on Feb 1, 2012 8:02 PM EST up reply actions
The only PG who would ever WANT to play with Melo...
is the PG who suffers from severely low self-esteem.
by bucketsncents on Feb 2, 2012 6:56 AM EST up reply actions
any PG with confidence will want to run the show and make passes and move the ball...
which is why they wouldn’t want to play with melo. a PG with no self-esteem won’t care that all he has to do is dump it to melo while posting at the 3 point line. too deep for ya?

i don't think he particularly enjoyed playing with melo... and most certainly knows...
how velcroish he can be.
