Ohhhh man. Oh man. Oh man. It's time. I mean, it's not TIME, but it's a time. There will be basketball tonight. The Knicks are in Washington to face the Wizards for their first preseason game of the year. Kurt Thomas will start in place of Amar'e Stoudemire (bruised knee) and Mychel Thompson will start at shooting guard. James White will not play. For the Wizards, Nene is out and Emeka Okafor will sit with something afoot in his tummy (possibly a foot). You can expect some ugly basketball and strange rotations featuring an excess of young guys. That's fine. It's good. Don't even worry about the score.
