I don't know what it was last year, but this team could not seem to do anything on Friday nights. Maybe Melo and Amare were too caught up in their party plans for the evening, Shump was too busy thinking about his new shipment of shoes scheduled for delivery, and J.R was, well, he was just J.R. As much as the Knicks underperformed all year, they were that much worse on Friday nights. Even the catchy theme song didn't help.
As I am a strong believer in regression to the mean, I thoroughly expect the Knicks to be Friday night juggernauts. Novak will shoot 100% from three, Melo and Amare will play lockdown D, and Jason Kidd will go back to his days on the Nets. Heck, they might even beat the Wizards, Raptors, and Cavs. So here's to a year of Friday night success, and hopefully a Cinderella run to the finals.
