The Raptors defeated the Knicks in Montreal. : (
Hey babies. I just got back from the Bell Centre, where the Knicks had their moments, but mostly sucked a mile of ass against some hot-shooting, rebound-snaggling Raptors. It's just exhibition of course, but Mike Woodson came pretty close to playing a normal rotation (sans Ronnie Brewer and J.R. Smith, of course) and just didn't get a great outing from his bros. New York got dramatically out-three'd by Kyle Lowry and company, struggled in transition, and surrendered far too many rebounds off Toronto's glass. It's too early to tell, but the Friday Night Knicks curse seemed to be in full effect tonight. (Did MSG do all that? Was it different?)
Amar'e Stoudemire looked a bit rusty but put up solid numbers. Carmelo Anthony was productive around the basket but dismal behind the arc. Raymond Felton handled the ball like it was a greased balloon. Tyson Chandler hardly made an impact. New York got some useful bench performances, but nothing (not even any minutes really) from any of the camp invites besides Chris Copeland. More on all that tomorrow.
Anyway, I'd like to go eat me some food and explore this city a bit, but I'll have some more detailed notes on the game and (mostly) the experience of watching a Knicks-Raptors game from the "bleu" section of the Bell Centre up in the morning. Have pleasant nights, everybody. Don't sweat the preseason!
