Amar'e Stoudemire had his surgery, will miss six to eight weeks.

The wait begins anew.

The Knicks announced this evening that Amar'e Stoudemire had his left knee debridement surgery today. Ian Begley reports:

say Stoudemire had his surgery today. The timetable for his return is 6-8 weeks. Earliest return is Dec. 12. Latest is Dec. 26.

Man, when you put it that way...that's really a while. A bit more:

Amar'e Stoudemire consulted the Suns team doctor for a second opinion. His surgery was performed by team doctors.

According to the ' timetable, Stoudemire will miss at least the first 20 or 21 games of the season, depending on when BK makeup is.
