So I picked up the new basketball simulator from 2K Sports and I have to say I am a little disappointed in their representation of our New York Knickerbockers. For starters, they are missing Prigioni and White, which I find most concerning because they have guaranteed deals. Upon further inspection, I note that there are no new Euros, so fine. But James White was in 2K11, so can't they just copy-paste? Same goes for Sheed, but since he is non-guaranteed and also a fairly recent signee, I can deal with that one....for now.
I'd also love to have me some Cope-Sims-Shurna lovin', but I realize that I would not be satisfied unless 2K wired John up with sensors and took him into the green room to create a perfect visual representation of that J (or F, since it looks like he's trying to make an F more than a J). And I think I'd need some motion capture on Copeland's hair too.
What I found most disappointing however, is the jerseys. Read on for my conspiracy theory...
When 2K accidentally leaked the Knicks new threads, we can recall seeing a V-neck collar:
But upon the unveiling, we happily learned that the scoop collar had returned. A-like so:
Now here's where things get fishy. I of course pitted myself against our new crosstown rivals, and much to my surprise, noticed the inverse to the same issue I saw with the Knicks unis:
A scoop in the game, and:

A clear-cut V-neck collar (plus some #Broke bling) on Mr. Carter.
Now I beg the question, did 2K happen to mix these up, or is there something deeper going on? Was there a last minute collar swap made after NYK provided the new uni design to 2K? Can we put it past Dolan to attempt a tweak on Prokorov by switching to the scoop when he discovered the Nets were using it? Then did Jay make a retaliatory move to the V-neck, to maintain the individuality in the other borough? Probably not, 2K prolly just dropped the ball. But you never know with these guys. After the billboard, anything's fair game...
Punks.
