Denver Trailnuggets East

Stay connected for news and updates

In the spirit of the underachieving Blazers teams of the 90s/early 2000s and Melo's Nuggets, we have the 2012 Knicks.

For several games, I've noticed: a short attention span on defense; panic when things don't go well and a reversion to 21-style isolation (which the other teams just love); great plays coming out of timeouts, but no in-game adjustments; poor leadership by Melo; and an overall lack of determination to impose the Knicks' will on the other team.

JR Smith looks like a schizophrenic, battling with himself, "good shot, bad shot...no, good shot, shit, I don't know, just let it go. Ok"

Felton has a different release on each shot; thus, his inconsistency. He can't seem to remember the release point that works.

Novak is throwing the ball too often, as opposed to shooting.

The Knicks have more talent than the teams they're losing to (with the exception of Memphis), but they lack guidance; losing to the rockets, mavs, and nets is inexcusable (if they're serious about doing something this season)

Woody needs to use more of his bench and give Melo more frequent periods on the bench so he can grasp the essence of the game, so he can use his talents efficiently and lead the team instead of just being the best player.
