I could watch video for the next hour and answer this myself, or I could ask-- the Knicks worked with Dave Hopla in training camp, and are now shooting the lights out at an unprecedented rate, especially Kidd and Melo. Is there any noticeable difference in anyone's shooting form this year?
I remember reading here that they were working w/ Novak on getting rid of it quicker, and Shump on not rising up so high on his jumper.
But Kidd and Melo seem to have been the main beneficiaries. Melo was a career .322 shooter, and he's at .455 this year. Kidd's gone from .349 to .527. Felton and Brewer are also shooting at career highs. I'd like to think this isn't some sort of mirage, and maybe if these guys had some shooting flaws were found and corrected, everyone who's shaking their heads at us right now & saying dumb shit like "live by the three, die by the three" would be shutting up pretty seriously come playoff time.
