Carmelo Anthony hasn't ruled out skipping a game this week.
According to all reports, Carmelo Anthony felt totally fine after playing 33 minutes on his sprained ankle last night, which is great. The real test, they say, will come this morning, when Melo wakes up and asks his ankle if it is throbbing with pain. (Now I'm really curious whether or not he's awake yet. It's 7:44 as I write this sentence. What time do you think someone like Melo gets up on non-game days?). Whether or not his ankle replies in the affirmative, Melo may not be totally healthy just yet. When asked if he'd be good to go for all three of the Knicks' back-to-back-to-back games this week/end, he said:
He was asked if there was "any question" that he could play in all three games.
"I just came back. I don't know," he said. "It's something that we have to talk about but we'll see. We'll see what happens."
it'd obviously be ideal to keep Melo around for all three games, but if he does have to miss one, the topmost slice of the sandwich against the Nets probably makes the most sense. And if he does feel it's necessary to take a night off, I'd buy that. He looked soooo much sharper and more effective last night after giving that ankle a few days to heal.

I would think
Somebody like Carmelo gets up at around 1 p.m, eats some awesome pancakes with maple syrup better than anything we’ve ever tasted or will ever taste, watches a Spongebob double feature, and then takes a nap.
That, of course, applies to game day. I don’t think I’d be able to guess his non-game day routine.
New York Knicks = Sleeping Giants

If you didn't know
Melo is strictly a crepes man, then I don’t know how you can seriously call yourself a Knicks fan. Of course State goes for waffles, for obvious reasons.
Has to play Chicago
Right now the record is less important than developing a team identity, and that’s done in games against superior opposition.
I will go to my grave believing that if the Knicks had picked up Earl Barron before the 2011 Playoffs, we would not have been swept by the Celtics.
Of Course one could argue you
that with the Rose, and the Defense already, and the Tommy T being a better coach than D’Antoni, that the Knicks probably do not win against Chicago anyway. So why not sit him in that game and then play him against Boston and the Nets. After all what with Rondo not being able to dribble a basketball cause the wrist is kaput, and KG being 75 years old already the Knickerbockers might actually have a chance in that game. And of Course he has to play against the Nets, Dolan would demand it. I say sit out against Chicago and use him for the games we have a shot at winning.
that's nice
cuz I’m sure the Knicks were planning on doing the same. I guess we’ll have to hope that they skip the same game.
Last night, a comedian died in New York. Somebody knows why. Somebody knows
